I've played MW2, and I have played dozens of other online FPSes. Infinitesimal adjustments to individual matches does not change the game. I've played games that use dedicated servers, and I prefer ones that don't.
I hardly see how customizing matches overturns the ability to simply pick up and play.
It's not customization which is the primary issue here, perhaps you have a connection which allows you to host every time (0 ping advantage olol) but some of us have to deal with connecting to another person in a different country, the lag is insane.
It also removes a lot of community options from the game, without dedicated I promise you that no real community will ever develop from MW2.

This topic is the biggest joke I've ever seen. Next we're going to be asking them to somehow implement braille for blind people into the game....

Why is this just for Call of Duty? No one ever complains about other games. You guys are asking developers to put even more work into the game than they already have, causing them to want to ask for more money, causing the price of games to go up. It's already bad enough they're the most greedy company I've ever seen around. Their games never go on sale and they seem to not have any intention to ever put them on sale, despite the hundreds of games that are on sale right now from 50-80% off on Steam... I've got better things to do than obsess over killing fake military characters while re-spawning over and over again.

I'd rather see them fix the problems they have with the game than worry about people who are color blind. If it bothers you that much, change the settings on your TV screen, or get better at the game so you can recognize who is who.

Wow! Talking about Bias from the author of this news article. I think the people behind the PC petition had every right to complain considering that Call of Duty: MW's PC multiplayer was turned into shit compared to the PC multiplayer options in the first modern warfare.
That, my friend, is a bias.
Also, what is wrong with PtP? I understand that with dedicated servers you get to set the match to your liking, but you are still going to be playing with laggers and hackers, so its hardly different. I've PC gamed, so I would know.
It doesn't look like you do. Good servers have active administration to ban hackers and idiots, and auto-kick laggers (many CS servers I have seen boot people if their ping goes above 100). This is a big part of the servers' appeal: the server owner can actually enforce civilized behavior instead of hoping for the best, and the players can in turn choose their servers so they don't have to deal with any unreasonable server owners.

I'm all for it. I've sorta been thinking about it a bit when I realized that one of the games I played had a color blind patch (and one of my friends is color blind).

And yet you are so totally obsessed about the game that you need to register on a forum just because people are talking about it. Priorities for the win?

fake military characters
As opposed to all the real characters you can interact with in video games?

Also, congrats for thinking color blindness is cured by adjusting settings on a TV.

Does being red/green colorblind mean you reverse the two? Or can you not tell them apart at all?
Only one of my friends is colorblind, and i haven't really talked to him about it much.

Since nearly all the gamemodes have freindly fire off, this does not matter much. AND you can't see names in hardcore.

Why not have a colorblind mode. I don't have a problem with allowing colorblind people to have the same gaming experience as I do. Did you hear about the guy that plays cod4 with his face? IW listened to the wish of one man to accommodate him by adding the ability to tap the trigger and keep the sights up. Besides, what if it looks cool? Maybe you will want to turn it on.
