gamer rage?

The only time I actually get angry would be not at a game, but at the dumbass players. Let me tell you a story that I have told before in a different thread and I hope none of you ever find out about that.

I was playing COD:WAW multiplayer, and while listening to the inane chatter of the lobby, i noticed one player's clan tag was "JEWS". Now normally I wouldn't care, but at the time I felt particularly Jewish and I asked him what he meant by it. He replied that Jews are dirty, etc etc Neo-nazi rambling. I replied, "*****, I'm Jewish, let's do this." He agreed, and then I completely wrecked the shit out of him, with about 50 kills just of him in 2 or 3 games.

That's the only time I ever really was angry while playing a game.

I rage only when in certain games are levels where is a lot of walking around and searching for some useless items like toster combined with onions only to get a damn key to the door leading further (and the door engages you in a epic battle of "You shan't pass!" because you scratched it) . Seriously, tediousness just makes me want break everything apart.

In others games when I can't succeed with something after few (well maybe a lil' bit more ) tries I decide to stop and try later, and, my god, it often helps :O

I get gamer rage at people with gamer rage. When people start screaming at their teammates for not building a sentry in whatever they think is the most optimal area, I usually just give a cold, simple "Calm down" in a deadpan voice. They always say "fuck you, noob", but if you don't respond from that point on they often calm down a little.

If not you find them and end them multiple times until they quit.

I used to have bad moments of controller shot-put back when I was far more immature, during the PSX days. I try to do more seething than raging, hopefully setting the game down for a few hours/days/whatever before I try to do more than growl or shout in frustration.

I often get gamer rage in FPS games. When I do, I alt-tab, turn on my youtube playlist and go full out.

yes.... Rage happens.
mostly when i can blatently tell that ppl are hacking, or on brawl when they camp or edgehog.
but in brawl i just come back and kick there butts the next round so it slightly lessens the rage.

I tend to only ever get annoyed if I keep missing jumps in platformers or things. I gave up anger about games long ago.

When the game is seriously fustrating i swear, especially when you're on an certain online game, you're the healer and the tank runs off willy nilly because they are a few levels higher, but its fun to let them die and wonder why.

I suffer from it every time I game. Whether intentional or not, I end up punching furniture. The rage consumes me like a warm quilt, until my hand starts throbbing then Im more focused on if i broke any noticeable furniture. Thats normally when i switch games.

You know it's weird, I never ever got nerd rage until I played the broken mess that is Gears of War 2's multiplayer. Host, random shotgun, and glitches. Honestly I love gears but it's like Cliffy B does this out of douchebagery. Every patch fixes something...or doesn't, and adds a whole new slew of glitches and weapon mess ups. Errr....

The point I'm getting at, is that now I yell at this game. Because everytime I die, It's just pure bullshit. Here's an example I shoot someone three times in the back with the shotgun pointblank...nothing. They turn around shot me once, and I'm dead. It's things like that, that kindle the nerd hulk with in me. Then you also have the 13 year old tards and the european anti-american force. That just make me want to shove my hand through the screen and punch their teeth out on the other side.

Now it seems like I get nerd rage in most fpses. Everything else is fine, but damn. Ever since Gears of war 2, my blood just boils.

There is no real point to getting mad - it doesnt resolve the situation one bit. If someone is being a dick in MP they arent going to stop being a dick just because you're mad.

'Splosion Man and Shadow Complex have had me raging more than normal lately, but that seems to make victory all the sweeter when I put the game down for a couple days, come back and beat it almost effortlessly, instantly recognizing the flaws in my previous strategy.

Only times i really get the whole "ARRRRRRRRRRRRG!!!!" moments is either when the Ai in the game is so pants on head retarded they end up being more harm than help, the other time is those "WTF was that" moments in Multiplayer games simple example would be CoD4 / WaW hardcore when for some reason i get several wounds from a gun then the guy turns around and pops me once with the same weapon and kills me >_>
Well i guess there is ONE more time the red mist takes over, if your playing a team gametype for example Nazi Zombies/L4D/Gears Horde and some guy either A. Window steals / kills Locus you'v downed as your reloading or B. Goes all Rambo on a Sugar Rush and not only takes all the best weapons but then dies and screams at you "RES ME YOU F'ing NOOBS!!!oneoneeleven" but i guess in those situations i just enjoy letting them die, yanno stand next to them and let them bleed out and such ^__^
