Please tell me they didn't just tell me to "deal with it" again.

That should be their marketing slogan instead of all in one or whatever.

Xbox, Just Deal With It

HAHAHAHA it's genuinely getting worse than EA now.
At least they like to leave at least a fortnight between PR blunders.
It's like Microsoft are going for a PR blunder combo.

I guess they don't give a fuck anymore because they know that they completely lost this.

Like seriously. They couldn't play the BF4 demo for a full 30 seconds, and for some reason some idiot didn't take the Crimson Dragon demo off mute.
We all know they had no hope of even surpassing Nintendo that just played it safe with games that are fun, nothing too out there.
Sony couldn't play Black Flag without crashing.

Both consoles are a mess from design to implementation.
Was it really the console or was it just stream lag?

I wonder how the WiiU will handle Black Flag. Although it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Nintendo always wants games running in top shape on their consoles

I'm getting really tired of seeing this for (literally) the tenth time in a row.

am... am i in some kind of negative dimension?

"If you are thinking about buying our new product - think again! In some cases we recommend not doing it!"
I wasnt even considering getting a new xbox, but never did i expect them to dissuade me from it.

man... its like some kind of super villain took over microsoft. Next thing you know, they will start selling ACME self-catapults.....

captcha "Little did he know" - little indeed.....

Does any of you guys know what internet speed is required for the xbone?
It's really low. 1.5 kps or something?( I don't know if I got the abbreviations right.)

captcha: do you watch college football on tv?

Nope, but I'm pretty sure the fratboys will when they get their hands on the Xbone.

"Gamers Without Internet Can Stick With Xbox 360"

Hey, that's just frickin' fine by me. Just keep the games coming - or at least keep the damn servers up - and I'll be happy.

In truth, I'm a bit torn over the XBone. The actual console and every cock-eyed decision that led to its conception fills me with contempt. And yet, it's getting a load of games that I'd buy in a heartbeat if they came out for 360. Halo 5? Destiny? Mirror's friggin' Edge 2? Yes please, I'll have a slice of that.

According to Microsoft its ?For an optimal experience, we recommend a broadband connection of 1.5Mbps.?

This is the best thing I've read this week. The irony is just supreme. I thought that Jay Wilson was a stupidity distillery for thinking the same thing. It appears to be contagious, though. Hopefully, it won't spread out of its present industry, otherwise it could doom humanity.

It's an early build of the program (so ofcourse it had issues), the PS4 didn't crash the game did. Seriously get off your hate wagon on consoles and accept that not all of them are screwing the customer, just Microsoft. Wii U and PS4 seem to have gone the right path and I will definitely be getting the PS4 and probably get the Wii U once a few more games that interest me come out.

And yes there have been hiccups at E3 like any major event there is occasionally technical issues, it can't be 100% prevented. Usually their human error (like the muted sound on the XBone)

Thanks! Well, that's one reason to buy the Xbone. My connection speed holds up. On the other hand I don't like a Hall9000/Telescreen in my room. Guess i'll buy an PS4, unless spy equipment is also mandatory on the PS4.

Mattrick said Microsoft appreciates the passion of gamers but he believes gamers are ?imagining outcomes that are worse than what we believe it?s going to be in the real world.?

I agree. I see Sony getting the lion's share of the market back, a resurgence to PS2 standards, and gamers in general rallying under one banner. I don't see this as a problem for gamers.

I might consider it a problem if I had Microsoft stock, however...

Go home Microsoft, you're drunk.

Seriously, it's comical at this point. Just when you think that Microsoft can't possible make themselves look any worse, they pull out something like this. At this rate, I wouldn't be that surprised if it's reviled that all the Xbone's are actually Decepticons.

Exactly! I lived in Malaysia and the Philippines for a total of 15 years of my life, and i can tell you, having such a requirement in those locations would have been hell. Even now (i occasionally visit) the internet is better but is still unstable and liable to being knocked out for days at a time!
I think the thing is that they really can't see how big a percentage of their sales are made up from people in such similar situations.
Of course they do. Big corporations are practically nothing but statistics, and when decided to put out an always online system, there's one deciding factor, the current xbox live userbase.

They know exactly how many people exist that own 360s and use them online, and when reality checks in, they are correct to assume that those people more often then not will likely not even notice (let alone have a problem with) always being online, particularly if it's only a daily check-in.

Somewhere along the line they've looked at that number, decided it was large enough to meet their needs and targeted that demographic.

Yes, this fucks over anyone with shitty or no internet. It's not that MS does not know this, it's that they have decided that their modern system will target a modern audience, and shoddy internet people are not going to be their target demographic.

Now, I'm not sure if I'll bother with the Xbox One, but not because of any of this nonsense. Rather, I've yet to see much in the way of games that motivates me to care about any of the new consoles.

If that changes, then being among the millions who do have reliable internet, I do not particularly have a problem with any of this.
