I do see your point, but on the other hand we do KNOW black people exist, and we know the origin of the derogative colloquialism "N*gger" as well, so we know that's not acceptable since it's prejudice.

Jesus, as has been stated, has not been proven to exist in the context that a lot of people think of him. It's unfair to compare real world prejudice to ragging on a character who's existence we can't prove.

That doesn't disprove my point. Its not meant to hurt fun of Jesus, its meant to hurt of Christians. (as dumb as some of them in the video are). Why is it acceptable to hurt Christians yet totally unacceptable to hurt blacks?

I suppose it's because skin pigmentation is something you have no control over, but Christianity is a belief. It's a choice, and there will always be others who don't agree with that choice. Since Christian beliefs differ from the beliefs of non-christians there is an underlying aspect of both parties believing the other to be wrong, and hostilities commence from that.

It isn't one-sided, is the general gist.

Also, that video is a pretty good example of why I generally plug in my headset and leave it on the ground when I play on Xbox - the level of discourse rarely elevates above what I see in the video.

Just to poke my head up out of the trench here...

You guys realize you are the one's being "immature assholes", part of being mature is having respect for what other people believe, by laughing at what he's done, supporting what he's done you are essentially saying "Fuck Christians they know nothing, we are right they are wrong". Granted this doesn't apply to everyone, but that's the general vibe I'm getting.

If i laugh at something its cause i found it funny. In an episode of Robot Chicken it shows a dead baby joke and i almost shit myself laughing it was so Funny. That doesn't mean im saying kill all babies. Part of maturity is being able to look at something like this take in stride and not Freak out on the people on either side but to be relaxed and have a calm thought.
