Games That Deserve To Be Remade

The entire Breath of Fire series. I would buy a PS3 for this, as it would inevitably come out on it.

I second this. Ocarina of time too. I know the 2D is classic and all, but full 3D would be so, so awesome.

I third this. And Majora's Mask, with a bit more of a twilight princess-esque seriousness to it.

Blackthrone, for the SNES needs to come to the current gen. Remain a 2D platformer, of course. Side scrolling is where this game needs to stay. It's part of its charm. Its appeal. There's something about the shotgun wielding death metal harly looking protagonist that just strikes a perfect cord with me. The right amount of SNES badass.

Hell yes! God, I loved that game so much. Everybody should play LBA1&2, they're some of the best games of their kind ever made.

OT: I'd just like a system that can play all the old N64 games I have with controllers that are actually worth a crap. The controllers that we have have terrible joysticks that barely work anymore (thanks Mario Party).

Ultima VII: The Black Gate, for the PC. Remade in delicious full 3D rendering and modern graphics, yet with all of the freedom and gameplay of the original... with voice acting added, obviously.

I don't believe in many remakes. A port of Stubbs the Zombie for PSN wouldn't hurt.

I would want The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past, but not as a 3d remake, a 2d re-release for the wii exacly as it was when it was first made, for retail sale, with additional features like creator commentary, concept art galleries and unlockable costumes etc.

it was on the PS2 but heres the rules of remake
1: thee game play hast to stay exactly the same that was what made it so fun, no updates to "modern times"
2: It should go on more consoles, 360, Ps3 PC, Wii, all gamers should get to enjoy this epic game.
3: a graphical upgrade would be nice but not quite necessary

Deus Ex
Resident Evil 1-3 (yeah, I know there's a remake of the first one)
Metal Gear Solid (again, I know there's a remake of this already)

Purely graphical remakes though. Don't touch the gameplay mechanics or story. Or the dialogue like they did in the RE-make for the Gamecube or add stupid shit like backflipping off missiles like they did in The Twin Snakes).

Except maybe a build queue like they had in Tiberian Sun would be a nice addition to the first two C&C games, and a skirmish mode for the original game.
