Yes, almost all of them are bad... There are still a few exceptions, though.

That is not limited to World of Warcraft as such your argument is moot.

Diablo. Set up a whole business model the soul of the world is better off without, in my most-humble opinion.
What business model is that?
Dude, don't be that guy. Because no matter how good my point is, you're not going to be swayed. Ten bucks says you've got half a reply formulated to whatever you think I'm going to say. Just let people *****.

Alone in the Dark was dreadful. I can't really think of any other games I feel don't have the right to exist.

Now,this is a tough question because lots of games that SHOULDN'T have been made actually cause very important things to happen by them being made (i.e. E.T. and Pacman for the Atari causing the video game crash),but if you would ask me in personal preference,I would say Action 52.It was really just a waste of a game,an expensive one too.

Drawn to life 2. And the E.T. I heard the developers buried their E.T. games in cement after they found out how shitty it was

Troll Troll Troll Troll Troll Troll Troll

OT: Splinter Cell Conviction. It was short. It was linear. It had nothing to do with stealth.

Even if I don't agree, I might still find it an interesting argument. For now, I am just curious.

Too Human
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Super Mario Galaxy 2
The upcoming Halo 4

Keep in mind that not all of these are bad games (afterall, how can I judge Halo 4 after one teaser?) I have just listed them here simply for the fact that they have no right to exist at all. For the sequels (and interquel) there was no plot holes to fill, no extra story to tell, so really there was no reason for them to have been made with the exception of
A. Pleasing the fans
B. Making money

Also if someone at Sony decides to make a Legend of Dragoon 2 I will say the same thing about that game because while I loved the first game, it does not need a sequel.

Fine. Ever since the original Diablo came out Blizzard peaked on that series at 2. Now in this day and age you'll inhabit a lifeless meaningless avatar to depopulate the world of it's cuddly hideous fauna over and over again in a game that feels more like an MMO than anything else. That was great for 2001. Now, they're going to render Diablo 3 in 3D add a few classes finally let people chose their sex (if I remember correctly) but underneath the tweak-like updates it'll still be Diablo and nothing will have changed... and they will make a fortune. It's a good business model, minimum work for maximum profit, but when I think about it I feel a little more hollow inside.

That new XCOM.

...okay so that one isn't out yet, I'll choose a different one... Shadowrun, or Final Fantasy X-2

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Haze. The two games that taught me to be very careful on what I preorder.

Hey, Rockstar's "The Warriors" was awesome.

OT: Sonic Free Riders, Mindjack, Final Fantasy XIV. There.

This is a toughie. While the game I pick must be terrible, it also has to be something that didn't teach the industry anything, thus justifying its nonexistence.

I pick any Mary Kate and Ashley game ever.

Oh, *that* business model. Simply put, it's a cash cow game. So, that would mean you are against all franchises that are actively recycling their games. Like Call of Duty, Need for Speed, all sport games from EA. I think Diablo scores pretty well compared to those recycled games.

EDIT: But yeah, point taken.

Final Fantasy XIII. And, from what I hear, FF XIV as well.

I would also have to say that the vast majority of hentai games from japan should never have been made. Ever.

Duke Nukem Forever. Having played the demo, I think gaming as a whole would have been much better off if the game had been left as gaming's biggest joke.
Other then that, I can't think of anything... maybe the newest MoH, just because it was a horrible CoD rip-off. Basically, any game that brings NO new ideas, or at least a new variation on other systems, to the table has no real reason to exist.

Not precisely. I'm against taking ten plus years to make a cash cow game and then it sell atrociously well because fans are fans. Shovelware is easy to spot and avoid and naturally gets removed by the more discerning gamer and when it doesn't make money it goes away. Blizzard get to do the same thing, sell it as new, and make oodles of money. It's like a scam. It's hard to fight the shovelware gag reflex when it's got ten years of hype behind it.

they would have just destroyed it somewhere else. like cod or everquest or any of the 100 other games that people spend 20+ hours a week playing.

i think alone in the dark for pc. it sounded like such a good game but i couldnt get past the camera/controls. it was so designed for a console controller that allows you to walk in any direction.

i guess i extend that to most ports from console to pc where the developers just half arse it and dont configure/optimise it for pc.

i enjoy these 3 game series but the internet would be better off without the flamewars they spawn >_>
If it wasn't those games then people would ***** about the popularity of other games. There's no escaping the flame war.

As for me, I'd have to say those budget titles that are intended to lure in unsuspecting "non-gamer" type people like your grandma who will buy you shit like M&Ms Kart Racing on the Wii, or Super Noah's Ark 3D or that Pet Vet Animal Rescue crap. Those kinds of games are the bane of every platform.
