Nitpickery. What, are all of the other Wii owners still asleep?
The real shame is that some of the story was compelling, and I'd like to see a sequel, if only one that retconned much of Other M's sorry excuse for a story. Finding out that some of the higher ups within the holy Federation are genetically engineering these things for weapons? Potential! Zero suit potential! Stealth elements potential!
And I honestly can't thing of any game actually bad enough to not exist, maybe Knight in the Nightmare that was a bad game, maybe even FF13 but the gameplay was okay so i don't see a point in complaining.
Now I don't know about LoI...I mean, sure, it wasn't like the Castlevania games before it, but it was definitely a fun, solid action game. Of course, this is just my opinion.targren said:Castlevania: Lament of Innocence - Marked the end of the era that was the 'Vania' part of the 'Metroidvania' genre.
Metroid: Fusion - See above. They almost came back from this with Zero Mission, then the Metroid Prime games, but then the same guy ended up in charge of Metroid and gave us the all-around sucktastic "Other M."
Jak II - The first game was a fun, if uninspired platformer in the vein of the old Spyro games. Jak II and III are more like "Grand Theft Auto: Furry"
Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance - Oh dear gods, the pain. Take everything that made the original Final Fantasy Tactics great, throw it away, and replace it with a nice, wet, fragrant bowel movement: furries and the stupid law system.
What is wrong with the single player of the BC games? I found them quite enjoyable, if anything, it only adds to the total amount of time I have spent having fun with those two gamesScythax said:Of all the games to choose... that's easily my favorite game of all time. Only way to make it even remotely enjoyable is by heavy modding.
I'd say, every Fable after Fable: Lost Chapters, Crysis 2, the single player sides of Bad Company 1 and 2, and Every COD after 4.
And if they hadn't A) Slapped the Castlevania name on it and B) Stopped making Metroidvanias altogether, I'd agree with you. On its own, it was a passable, even enjoyable, game. But what it set into motion for the series is unforgivable.SixWingedAsura said:Now I don't know about LoI...I mean, sure, it wasn't like the Castlevania games before it, but it was definitely a fun, solid action game. And all of the Metroid Prime games come before Super Metroid. Making the games out-of-sequence is nothing new for Nintendo (just look at what they did to Zelda!)ninjapenguin1414 said:I thought Metroid Other M came before Metroid Fusion so it already has a sequel
What the Hell? MW2 was twice as good as MW1, although Black Ops was a step down.Stealthygamer said:Every CoD after 4
I finished the bloody game, don't worry. All I'm saying is, they could've add more then sights, weapon mods or selecting what would your companions do in combat.ChupathingyX said:If New Vegas is a DLC then it is the biggest DLC in gaming history.Bling1907 said:Fallout: New Vegas. It looks like a re-release with little new elements. Simply could made as a DLC.
But of course it is a DLC if it has more quests and factions than Fallout 3, not to mention a differnet setting, different factions, more weapons, new game mechanics, more grey morality, a completely different plot with branching choices (something even F3 didn't have) and not to mention hundreds and even thousands of play (replay) value.
And of course I can't forget the "little new elements" such as;
*Iron sights
*Special VATS melee attacks
*Special Unarmed attacks that can be learned
*Different unarmed attacks
*Survival - and everything that stems from that (e.g. campfires)
*The companion wheel
*The fusion of small/big guns
*New speech system that isn't luck based
*Taking normal damage in VATS instead of only 10%
*Perks every other level
*Traits
*Weapon mods
*Companion perks
*The ability to become homosexual
*Nerve
*The reputation system
*Gambling
*Hardcore mode
*New animations
*Changing the character's age (useless, but a nice addition)
*Challenges
*Medical implants
*Unique weapons now have unique designs
*Damage Threshold
*Night vision
*"Dumb" dialogue
*Ammunition creation
And if that isn't enough, I could bring out my ol' wall o' text regarding why Fallout: New Vegas was a good game compared to F3 and deserved to be released.
Also...
I could be interpreting that wrong, but it sounds like you haven't actually played the game.Fallout: New Vegas. It looks like a re-release with little new elements. Simply could made as a DLC.
And if it is a DLC, then it's probably one of the only (or few, I'm not sure) DLCs to ever have DLC released for it.
Indeed. But then again, if it didn't exist, we would not have gotten all all those awesome tracks.JackWestJr said:Sonic the Hedgehog 06. I had fun with it at the time, but god it is embarresing now
Erm... I believe you meant "Mega Drive" or "Genesis". Though, I would strongly with your above opinion. For me, it's every console-game between Sonic Adventure 2 and before Unleashed (not counting the handhelds)Kalith said:Every Sonic game after the master system.. apart from Colours. What point I am trying to make is that, usually longer developed games tend to far better than shorter developed ones, for obvious reasons. But we all know that's not always usually the case. My thoughts exactly, what the bloody hell were they thinking when THAT idea came along?Scow2 said:I'm going to list some games that really shouldn't exist:

There's the little issue of real sport often being exhausting and an overall waste of effort on the part of nearly everyone concerned.Riddle78 said:-Sports games as a genre: If you want to play lacrosse, hockey,or football...Go play it yourself. Yeah, that's fair enough. I think I didn't like the airstike power because it never destroyed anything I used it on in one shot, but I think that was just because I used them mostly on buildings.Collins254 said:I agree with missing the prism tanks, and yes it wasnt as dark as red alert 2, but the gameplay was smooth, i loved the new mirage tanks, i liked how every unit had a support power aswel as its main function, to me added more strategy to the game, i did like the coolness of the japanese faction, but to me it was everything they had that felt weaker than the other 2.Failhammer said:I think it was the game's style that put me off; it seemed a bit too colourful and loopy compared to Red Alert 2. That, and I missed my prism tanksCollins254 said:can i just ask why? i love red alert 3, i loved the campaign, i loved the allies the most, the empire of the rising sun was the faction i most disliked, because i felt they had only 2 strategies, shogun battleship sea dominion, or chopper VX early spam.Failhammer said:I've seen opinions like that regarding the first arc of the new Higurashi anime series.Volan said:...leave alone a story that worked for its seriousness and sadness, instead of making a cheesy, happy fan-service spin-off.
On topic: Red Alert 3. As far as I'm concerned, they completely ruined the Allies and the only good part of that game was the Empire of the Rising Sun..
I could literally write pages on all the aspects of red alert 3 i like, on how each of the factions compare to each other, in each stage of technology, why i would pick each faction and strategies i would use to win, and probably a strategy for each game map, ye i overplayed that game, and on the Xbox aswel, i found the controls really easy to use, and went really well with the controller. I know alot of people would argue with RTS on the consoles but i found it easier to use on the xbox than my laptop, oddly enough, and if i must be honest the best rts/rpg ish game i ever played was on a console and it was kingdom under fire.
Also which support powers didnt you like? the time bomb was the strongest of all support powers, the added airforce power was awsome, freezing was extremely useful in combination with the surgical strike to kill buildings/a few tanks instantly.
And when it comes to units
Peacekeepers>Imperial soldiers>conscripts
Attack dogs=bears> scout drones
Rocket men>flak troopers vs aircrat<flak vs tanks and flakShinobi> Tesla troopers
Tanya>Natasha>Yuriko vs buildings
Natasha>Yuriko>Tanya Vs long range enemies
Tanya>Yuriko>Natasha Vs infantry swarms
Sorry il end it there, i could go on all day but you get my idea, im not saying your opinion is wrong im just showing how i formed my opinion of the factions =]
I respect your opinion but you are a fucking moronLucyfer86 said:Oblivion, that unimmersive, bland, bug ridden piece of sh... well, waste of money that is.
