Harker. A vampire hunting game, which had only one trailer, but it seemed it would have very awesome combat.

Granted, I'd like to see it with current graphics but I'm a bit surprised nobody has pulled off a great werewolf game.

6 DAYS IN MOTHERFUCKING FALLUJAH

Although it sorta doesn't fit in this thread because it was announced and made, and then Konami ditched and left a finished product without a publisher, because of some media noise because it's based on a real conflict.
So they went and made Breach and not a single fuck was given.
Don't understand why the developer couldn't have contacted Valve or some other distribution group. I know nothing about business so I'm guessing there were a shitload of hoops to jump through to get it out there.

I still remember when Earthbound 64 was the most exciting thing I could ever imagine... screenshots, promise times... and then off to the silicon scrap heap. At least they eventually made a sequel... for Japan only, of course.

Nightmare Creatures 3. I played and beat the first game and enjoyed it. It was a pretty good 3D beat-em-up, and I thought the story was a clever one. The second game I haven't played, but I've heard the gameplay isn't as good, though the story might be. I've thought that the series could continue if it was handled properly and that the plot of an evil demonic alchemist seeking to rule the world through a plague could really work with the right people behind it. Maybe get the creators of Call of Chuthulu: Dark Corners of The Earth or the Diablo series to work on it.

This Is Vegas. It looked awesome! It was midways most expensive game ever and was in development for over 3 years costing upwards of 50 million dollars before they went under and were forced to cancel. Open World crime/adventure/gambling game. I would have bought it!
Oh yeah I remember that game! Looked kind of cool but I was never convinced it was anything more than a GTA ripoff.
Actually, that one reminded me more of Urbz (the "urban sims" game). My wife was looking forward to Vegas.

The ones I remember probably wouldn't have been very good. There was supposed to be a SNES game based on Akira and there was supposed to be a PS2 game based on Cowboy Bebop. Anime games either really suck or are pretty fun so I'm sure those titles are a lot cooler in my mind than reality.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3. Which is now almost certainly cancelled (Valve announced that the episodic model is done). And will probably be replaced by a full-blown sequel.

I forgot about that one. I really hope that gets made. It didn't really get a chance before.

An Akira game could be really amazing. I think if they stayed away from the plot of the film it could do really well. I can't see how the movie could be made in to a good game, but if they made their own story in the world of Akira then they would have a lot of freedom and cool stuff to work with. The player could be in some other motorcycle gang and have races through Neo-Tokyo, get in to gang wars and find some other kind of sci-fi conspiracy. Would be awesome.

Battlefield 1943 to PC! I do play it on my Xbox(alot) but playing a FPS on a console with controllers is not the same as on a PC with mouse and keyboard!
Also someone mentioned Starcraft: Ghost wich I would very much like to have seen released, but Blizzard never sayed that they wouldnt release it only that they have put it on "indefinite hold". That was 6 years ago so i dont expect it to be released anymore, but then again it took 12 years for Starcraft II (3 years from when they annouched it) to come out and Diablo is to be release within a year(I think) and its 11 years since the last installment.

Blizzard takes there time so who knows!

Anyone remember Thrill Kill? 'Cause that game looked pretty fun. Too bad it wasn't released (officially).

EDIT: Apparently one other person in the thread has. Props to them.

'Dungeon Keeper 3: War for the Overworld'. I was really excited for that. I still remember the first time I watched the teaser for it.
