Don't understand why the developer couldn't have contacted Valve or some other distribution group. I know nothing about business so I'm guessing there were a shitload of hoops to jump through to get it out there.SarcasmoPope said:6 DAYS IN MOTHERFUCKING FALLUJAH
Although it sorta doesn't fit in this thread because it was announced and made, and then Konami ditched and left a finished product without a publisher, because of some media noise because it's based on a real conflict.
So they went and made Breach and not a single fuck was given.
Actually, that one reminded me more of Urbz (the "urban sims" game). My wife was looking forward to Vegas.Scrustle said:Oh yeah I remember that game! Looked kind of cool but I was never convinced it was anything more than a GTA ripoff.Ghostwise said:This Is Vegas. It looked awesome! It was midways most expensive game ever and was in development for over 3 years costing upwards of 50 million dollars before they went under and were forced to cancel. Open World crime/adventure/gambling game. I would have bought it!
I forgot about that one. I really hope that gets made. It didn't really get a chance before.John1307 said:For me it was True crime but Square Enix picked up the game so i will get my hands on it at some point.
An Akira game could be really amazing. I think if they stayed away from the plot of the film it could do really well. I can't see how the movie could be made in to a good game, but if they made their own story in the world of Akira then they would have a lot of freedom and cool stuff to work with. The player could be in some other motorcycle gang and have races through Neo-Tokyo, get in to gang wars and find some other kind of sci-fi conspiracy. Would be awesome.GonzoGamer said:The ones I remember probably wouldn't have been very good. There was supposed to be a SNES game based on Akira and there was supposed to be a PS2 game based on Cowboy Bebop. Anime games either really suck or are pretty fun so I'm sure those titles are a lot cooler in my mind than reality.
