Games that you enjoy, but the critics did not.

i love Brink. I never had connection issues. It was fast unique and just cool to look at. TO bad its unplayable now.

Do FF XIII and XIII-2 count? From what I hear, they're generally panned by western critics/audiences, yet I'm having oodles of fun with them.

Me too! I must confess, I generally don't care about game scores, but I saw so much scorn for these games that I was hesitant. I am not a FF Fangirl either - I didn't like XII at all. But I'm really enjoying XIII and looking forward to XIII-2

The two that come most immediately to mind were Alpha Protocol and Dragon's Dogma. While I'll admit both games were deeply flawed, the things they did right were more than sufficient to carry them.
