Fallout inspired me to make up my own post-apocalyptic game in my own mind.

Other than that, I was inspared to become an amatur game critic (only one in the freaking zip code who judges a game by how it is, not how someone says it is) when I bought pokemon (name any, they are secretly just skins of each other, friends love for no reason) and Full Auto 2 (ok, but don't buy). The mistake of buying them led me to read reviews of all games I was intrested in, and soon I started to form my own opinions and trust the reviewers less and less (*cough*xplay*cough*).

Both Perfect Dark and planet Phaaze from Metroid Prime 3 were heavily referenced in a piece of creative schoolwork I did recently (as well as MGS and Dragon Ball Z, but not as much).

I like this thread, it's nice to see that games can still inspire creativity, exploration, and action, in opposition to the stereotype of the "lazy gamer". Although games like DDR and Wii Fit have gotten me off my lazy buns and gotten me moving, I can't think of any good "inspiration" stories. Games have given me good memories. For New Years last year, my friend and I spent it playing Portal. I've been enjoying watching my friend play through the Metal Gear Solid series. The last one sounds kind of silly, getting enjoyment from watching someone else game. Anyone else do that?

Final Fantasy X-Yuna was so familiar to me...not that i go around fighting monsters and saving the world but we both feel strongly about what we believe it, were both willing to help others no matter the cost...and i always smile...even when im sad...

Tomb Raider- first game i ever played back when i was 8, it got me into gaming and everything

i think every game has had some sort of influence on me...gaming in general has given me the push to get into university to persue being a character animator...i wouldnt be where i am without any of these games

mass effect inspired me to explore the galaxy and try to find horny blue aliens. still working on that spaceship though.
