Has anyone here ever played the flash game pandemic? That had a pretty impressive body count.
Well I got the 'President of Madagascar Assassination' badge so yeah.

Almost 7 billion kills in under an hour.

Were there not an article about a CoD game where in the worlds population had been slaughtered rather quickly?
There was, but I think that the Left 4 Dead 2 body count was higher. It was somewhere in the billions I think.
Well.. If it is just whatever is getting killed then think about WoW.. How many players doing nothing but killing stuff?

Left 4 Dead... One game I was playing with a bunch of newbies on campaign mode - normal, we slogged thru the parish... I killed over 400 zombies alone on that level and almost 1200 zombies on the entire "movie" it self. AK-47 ftw. Any Left 4 Dead game where you have to slog thru it results in huge piles of dead bodies...

Empire at War.

Ever send multiple squads of storm troopers to take on an artillery tank? If you have you know that I'm talking about.

If anyone could actually stand playing land battles without mods. You're stronger than I am. But here's a fun one. With the Absolute Corruption Mod, each planet gets ten deployment slots regardless. Turbolaser towers are deadly versus more than vehicles.

I had Kuat turned into an ATAT factory, with ten ATATs guarding it. Turbolaser towers, flak cannons and ten giant death walkers. They attacked dozens of times, and were decimated.

Dead Rising, Missile Command, and Cooking Mama. So many people have been scared to death by Mama's eyes after you fail a dish.

[Prototype] is the 'worst offender' in my experience, and I've been gaming a lot since age 4-5. Ninja Gaiden are also pretty high-kill, as well as a lot of FPS' these days-

If I'm not mistaken, the population of the world is somewhere in the billions too.

I'd also have to say Prototype though. The blood and gore and DEATHS in that game is astounding. I mean, the whole of Manhattan becomes full of zombies and there is a line of cold blooded soldiers gunning every one they see down. Plus, there is you.

Total War games haven't been brought up yet?

Even if it is kind of anachronistic, you can expect a couple thousand dead per turn at least.

My choices are the Left 4 Dead Series, and every Total War game ever. Obscene casualty rates.
Total War hands down.

They were in the first post :p And yeah, I'd have to agree with Total war, nothing like a little barbarian slaughter from the legions.

(but to be honest, EVE Online, as many of the standard NPC battleships have crews of thousands and you can destroy several in a single mission.)

ok lets take the recant Super Cap Battle in Venal, (Super Caps are the Biggest ships in the universe spanning several miles with crews of at least 300-400 thousand) 9 were destroyed let alone the super cap losses around 7 Titans and 2 Motherships so that's what 3-4 Million people gone, oh and several hundred billion in moneys, so DAM

Has anyone mentioned something like Dynasty Warriors or derivatives like Ninteny-Nine-Nights? I'll admit I'm not really fans, but seeing as they're all centered around massacring hundreds upon thousands of enemies in just one scene, I'd say they have a high death toll. Good seconds though would be games like Saints Row, GTA, and as a lot of people have mentioned; Left 4 Dead.

I'm going to say any intergalactic space game where you can conquer planets. I think you can in Spore. Obviously you don't see much death but you would have to kill a fair amount of people to make a species bow down to you.
