Oh hell. One I've been hunting for is an old DOS platforming game, I remember playing it on a Win95 machine back in 95/96.

I don't really remember many of the details because I've not played or seen it since, but you were some sort of spaceman, fooling around in red caves, collecting all sorts of items and shooting (IIRC) various robots/aliens. There was also music to this game, which I can only describe as 'experimental'; it wasn't the usual sort of MIDI tunes we were used to, it was very sparse and almost seemed to be made up of random sound effects with pitch-bending.

Yeah, that sounds incredibly vague and generic. Sorry.

One thing I do remember vividly was what happened when you were killed; your head spontaneously disappeared, with a few wisps of smoke rising from the neck of your spacesuit or whatever the hell the guy's outfit was.

If anyone can tell me what game this is, I'd appreciate it.

So far I have not found a single person that knows this game but I will try to post as much details as possible. Things I am not sure about are within brackets.

This is an MS-DOS Game

The game was a 2D - platformer that looked drawn. You played a human or elf male with green hair and 2 small antennea on his head. The first level was a pirate ship (and the captain looked a lot like the one from Robin Hood.) No this is not a Robin Hood game as you might think. Weirder still is that you could climb up a vine or something from the ship and cross over into land. I do not remember much of this level but it had someone resembling Robin Hood as a boss. Other levels included a giant beanstake and some arabian like castle. There was also a levitating (queen) boss that waved kisses at you that turned into heart-shaped projectiles that damaged you when struck. (There was also this fairy that would help you and some sort of inventory from which you could pick various powers like stopping time.) I also remember fighting wolves that could breath fire and stood on their two backlegs. I do not know when it was released but I probably played it between 2000-2003.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay this game was a trial i downloaded maybe 6-8 years ago. It was a top down space game where you controlled a single ship. Key parts of the game are being able to customize your ship with different ship designs. There is the ability to buy and trade goods between the different planets to earn money. You can also destroy trade ships or pirates to salvage money. You could hire other ships to join your fleet and use them to carry more goods. The game was divided between two main empires which showed up as red and blue on the map i think. There was also a third group which in the game had found alien technology and were technologically advanced. Also their was a lot of exploring to do in remote star systems. One thing i remember well is that when the trial was over an "enforcer" came out of nowhere and blew your ship to pieces telling you to go buy the game. Any help would be appreciated. Im not sure if this game is a space mmo or not but im thinking it wasnt.
Escape Velocity

Thanks man I've been looking for that for ages! The one I played was Escape Velocity: Nova but now I want to check out the first two. =)

I played this game years ago, all I remember it was release in the late 1980s. You take on the role of a pirate and can travel around the world (probably not, can't remember specifically.) It was great fun, you could trade goods you've obtained from other ships and through trade.

So I remember playing this in school. Elementary and maybe Middle school. It's a computer game, you start out at a carnival game and after you play it I think the carnival guy sucks you into his mouth and then you end up trapped on an island. You go around completing puzzles to get you through. Some were: Tanagram Candle Puzzle, Hanoi Stacking Puzzle (in a junkyard with tires), and some blob type thing I can't remember too well. Then I think towards the end there's a dark cave that you travel through like a maze. That's all I really remember. I can't think of the name and it's really getting to me XD Please Help, Thanks.

This may be a bit too obvious but there was a very popular game like that. It was simply called "Pirates!".

I'm also looking for a space game where you fight against I think it was the russians on the moon and on mars. The intro cutscene included Apollo 11. 3D graphics, and I played it in 2004-2007.

I remember an old point and click adventure game, pretty sure that it was on the PC. About an alien police officer. Basically you're tracking down this killer that's kidnapped your partner and is holding him to ransom. For memory it starts off with the two of you in the police car, and then you go to the aid of an alien that the killer has attacked. It would've been out in the mid to late 1990's, maybe early 2000's.

I have no idea if anyone knows what this game is, but it would be awesome if someone did.

There was this one game for N64, I got it from my friend, I remember the graphics were really blocky and something about fighting bugs on hills made of sand. I never got far in the game, but when I looked at my friends save he had access to some warp system where he could go a whole bunch of different places. I always wanted to get further into the game but the bug-aliens always killed me because I didn't even know how to shoot =S

Honestly, I don't want to play this game now, but I do wish I remembered the name of it, I can visualize the game cartridge cover art, but I can't describe it. And I have the name on the tip of my tongue, but I can never get it completely off my tongue. I'm almost certain it has to do with the word Invasion.

Hello there was this PC game i used to play in the late 90's.You are a little dot at the borders of the screen. In the middle of the screen there is a huge boss and some random minions moving around. The idea of the game was to move you little dot across the screen. You were leaving a trail behind and you had to touch another border without the minions or boss touching your trail.Upon touching the new border the area you "cut" couldn't be used by the boss or minions.A level was won when you "ocupied" a certain % of the screen. If anyone knows the game please reply.Thank you

I played it like 3-4 years ago.
You can travel with ships from city to city , while trading goods , building manors and different farms/mines (cotton , marble , tobacco). While your farms/mines need workers. The population needs also need somewhere to live(thats why you need to build manors) and if theres no place to live or work , they start to leave.

I don't remember exactly , buy i think you could also qoncuer citys.

That sounds like a spinoff of an old arcade game sometimes known as Styx or Qix.

A very unique type of gameplay. I would best describe it as a 'drawing game' as the players draw boxes to fence in the boss.

If you find it, please drop a link here. I think it's interesting to see remakes of these old gameplay types.
