Well, that's just your opinion. You're entitled to it and as such, I applaud you for having the guts to post such a comment like "Come at me, bro."

Good show, sir.

OT: Pong.
God damn, is that crap. No story, no characters, basic as fuck gameplay, the graphics look like a toddler vomited on it...it's just shit.

Oh, and you know what else sucks?

Don't see why. It's like everything else.

Want perfect multiplayer? Go play Starcraft.
RTS =/= first person shooter. Not comparable :p
Unless that RTS is Dungeon Keeper who also mixes FPS by possessing your units to do even more evil fun stuff. However, thanks that NOBODY remembers this game i may never know if it is the best example ever and if not at least what could be done to improve it

I was pretty underwhelmed by Bioshock. I didn't think it was a bad game, or anything like that... it just didn't live up to the hype and expectations I had for it as a long-time System Shock fan.snip
Indeed. Although I do differ from you on one point, I do think it is quite a poor shooter. I think the gameplay is better in many, many, other games.

Aww, now im depressed that such an awesome idea for a game does not exist :(
Think of the tactics and variety that could be created by having the "shift" ability in an RTS.

Although simply having a "commander" player lording it over his army of "players" online would also be awesome. Then again, when the players or leader turned out to be retarded, it would not be so fun :/

For me it's final fantasy 7. Very likely due to the fact I attempted to play it 9 years after release.
Nah, I played it a month after release, and I don't see it either.

My list would probably be massive, considering the shift in gaming away from my tastes. A couple already hit: Bioshock, DXHR, Skyrim, for many of the same reasons.

Mass Effect and Fallout 3/NV. They were passable, but the amount of pure fap they STILL get is mind-boggling.

Arkham Asylum: Not bad, but not great. Got 99% in 12 hours without a guide (that last 1% was that one OMGFU trophy. You know which one I mean). Rental, maybe.

So, everyone just forgot about GTA IV? Every reviewer that's not yahtzee gave it a 10 out of 10 for perfection. What do I get at the end? 2 shitty apartments and a small penthouse. They took out planes, parachutes, and most of the fun weapons. Not to mention they made the rocket launcher shoot a rocket that spins around and misses it's target 90% of the time. The stadium races and gambling are gone too. You can play pool, go bowling, play darts, go to a strip club, or go to a comedy or cabaret club that start repeating their acts after the 5th time you visit. Those are all nice, but where's the crazy shit? Well, it's in 20 dollar DLC. But of course. There's no tank to rampage in anymore, the closest you can get is a fire truck. Not to mention the game constantly feels like it wants you to slit your wrists, and I constantly fly out of the windshield in crashes.

They improved the graphics and physics and put in multiplayer, so I'll give them that. And the side activities are ok, but there's nothing really crazy besides random rampages that you can do when the story is finished. It's a solid game, but it's not perfect by a long shot, and the fact that the reviewers all inflated their scores to perfect disgusts me. It's dishonest. GTA IV is not perfect by any definition. It's just good. Just average. And were it under any other name it would have been reviewed as such.

The Modern Warfare titles (not Call of Duty as a whole, as it hasn't been hyped enough to reach that threshold for me). Yeah, they've got a campaign story that seems to be the genetic superchild of every action movie, ever. Sure, the gameplay seems to be perfectly functional. Okay, the staggering online statistics for MW2 matches played should, in theory, construct a monument to its greatness.

But I just don't get it. It seems too bland and dreary to be that magnitude of appealing. I'm not asking for an explanation of any kind, as it doesn't seem like something that requires one. You shoot dudes using all the top of the line "realistic" gear our world powers can provide. But scratch the shiny polish off of the premise, and there's little more than an impersonal metal frame holding the thing up.
...I'm just going to stick with Halo, thanks. At least it's got a compelling EU and some glow-y sci-fi bits to go along with it.

Definitely Dragon Age, I couldn't enjoy that game at all.

Also the Battlefield series, don't get me wrong I'm not saying these games are in any way bad, in fact I recognize them as great games, at least in the multiplayer aspect. However, I find it impossible to enjoy the Battlefield games, to me they feel devoid of any fun. Just my personal opinion, I don't believe they are as good as people claim them to be.

Mass Effect to me is super boring. Everyone seems to think that it is some sort of game made by God though. I just don't see it.

GTAIV: OMG it was like some GTA game with Sims in a boring way. Loved GTAIII and San Andreas, but this was really bad for me.
Bioshock: It's good, actually there are some pretty good moments, I just wasn't that mind blowned.
Gears of war: The game might be good, but not awesome.

What have you done?! I freakin' loved Human Revolution; it was my personal GOTY for 2011. And I've spent the last ten minutes pondering why I liked it so much, and I really can't come up with anything concrete.
I liked it because it let me waste all my ammo tranquilizing homeless people and not get punished in the missions for not having any ammo.

Gears of War (First one was good, others that followed just got more boring. 3rd game was so predictable I swore I was a psychic)

Halo (Most of the series, except the first since that was genuinely original for the time.)

Bioshock (Rather play System shock, that way I'd have a challenge.)

Everything Call of Duty ('MURICA! FUCK YEAH!)

Battlefield 3.

People act like the multiplayer is constantly amazing and interesting, but when I play it, things go pretty much like this.

1.Spawn at side of map farthest from objective.
2.Walk for about 5 minutes to the objective.
3.Get killed as soon as you walk in the vicinity of objective.
4.Repeat.

But I guess it's the "true gamer's" choice, so everybody has to like it or else.

Skyrim.

It feels like Oblivion with a few rough edges smoothed out, a shitty(er) UI and new content. I'm having fun playing it but the praise this game got was way too high for what the game actually is.

Hell, no game would be deserving of that much praise.

At it's worst it was

OP: "Topic in no way to do with skyrim"
Some people "hurr durr arrow to the knee, isn't skyrim great?"

Commence circle jerking.

Maybe that's a bit hyperbolic... Anyway I'm glad the mods are fixing my gripes with it anyway, it is a good, fun game overall.
Thank goodness I didn't have to say this. Skyrim is the same 12X12 miles of J.R. Tolkiens backyard copy pasted AGAIN except for now there is snow.

Diablo 2. I found it boring as fuck. Matter of fact, I'm gonna go ahead and say that every "Diablo clone" I've played was boring as fuck.

Dragon Age : Origins. Stodgy, bland and impenetrable. Nothing that we haven't seen before with heaps of lore dropped on you that is neither original or engaging.

Deus Ex: HR. One dimensional characters, average gameplay and it seems to be a 3rd person shooter with chest high walls. Not to mention, you always seem to be chasing your next new ability, as in receive a quest that is easily completed with an ability that you need to level-up for. Perhaps it gets interesting when you can throw vending machines?

Psychonauts. Imaginitive I will give you, but the whole game seems dated and the voice acting in parts made we want to poke my eardrums out with a knitting needle. Smacks of the auteur, which I will admit, is not necessarily a bad thing. You can never truly understand another person's art. But, the whole thing is decidedly average in my eyes.

CoD games, I love playing CoD and probably always will, but it's never going to be the Shangri-La of online gaming, so just enjoy it for what it is.

I think it's good because I had fun playing it, isn't that what really matters.
OT: I'm gonna go with every CoD game since MW.
Not that I don't enjoy occasionally playing the games but a large chunk of the community makes a huge unneeded deal over a copy pasta game.

Skyrim is another one. I enjoy the game, and it's better than Oblivion but it wasn't as good as everyone said it would be.

Bioshock II: Do I really have to explain this one?

Half life 2: Episode 3: Yes, I'm aware it hasn't been released, but I'm sick of hearing about it. If Valve doesn't want to make it, they aren't gonna make it, stop talking about it already!

Well I know this is going to be a shocker but I think the Uncharted series is an overrated piece of crap. Nathan Drake is just a copy/pasted flawed action hero. His girlfriend is the same. The only interesting characters are.....well everyone else. Don't get me wrong, it's not BAD just not GOOD.
