You'll have to excuse me, but I have no fucking clue who that is. Enlighten me?
That's quite alright.
Ummm...surely you've heard of the Halo machinima series Red Vs. Blue? Well, the texas based company that makes that show, RoosterTeeth productions, has an employee who hosts some of their online shows and acts in some of their skits (although not RvB, yet). His name is Jack Pattilo, funny guy, looks a lot like the man in your picture who I assume is you. Google his name or "Achievement Hunter Weekly update". He co-hosts that.

The Mass Effect series, the Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age.
I talked about Mass Effect to one of my friends, who usually doesn't like RPG's so much that she started playing it!

Probably Heroes of Newerth.

I've sank close to two years into that game. I can play EVERY hero on the board proficiently, all 70+ of them. Yes, even Ophelia, non-codex build. SUCK IT!

I also know optimal item builds for heroes, hero backstories, which hero has the better attack animation (which is quite important by the way), item counters, hero counters, ward locations, timing for double/triple stacking... Yeah, I know a lot.

And to think I once had 80 deaths and one kill...

Bioshock. Ask me anything.
Uhh...when is Andrew Ryan's mothers Birthday?

And don't make shit up. ;)
That's a bullshit question. It's got to be something the creators actually made up and referenced to.

Seriously, now you look like an idiot.

World of Warcraft (don't judge me!), AssCreed and ArmA2.

Not mention others, but I'm most pedantic with those ones...

First of all: Learn to take a Fucking Joke. What are you, 10 years old?
Secondly: .....actually never mind. I'm kinda worried that if i write anything else even remotely jocular, you might explode from the sheer stress. Jesus, man.

Edit: Not what i pictured my 500th post to be. You wouldn't mind giving me a pat on the back would you?

The World Ends With You, Mass Effect, Fallout, Elder Scrolls... Dead Space, F.E.A.R., Left 4 Dead... I could write a dissertation on any one of these, and more.

Funny, I was going to ask you the same thing. You should know by now that I take Bioshock deadly serious.

Happy 500th post. Wake me when something interesting happens.

How would I.....I'm not....what? Why would i know that? What am i the president of your fan club?
And you're deadly serious about a video game? Really, dude? It's a great game, but jeez, lighten up a little.

I'm in love with Mass Effect, but I'm not going to throw a hissy fit if you ask me a bizarre joke question about it? Seriously go ahead. Ask me what size of shoe Garrus wears and I'll just say.....11(UK). Cause Manly men (Turians) have big feet!

Happy 500th post.
Thanks.....but without...the sarcasm.

Actually, Majora's Mask is my favourite Zelda game. Yes, I like it more than the GameBoy ones and more than Ocarina of Time.
I playd it all the time as a kid. It wasn't the typical adventure, it had something new...the time cycle, the masks...I loved the concept and I still do.
The whole world off Termina and all its stories fascinated me way more than Hyrule did.

I actually heard the big stone door closing noise when I saw that.
So did I.

Majora's Mask isn't better than other LoZ games because of game play, but because of mood and emotional impact.

The entire story is filled with horror and despair, the threat of death looming over you all of the time. It has mysteries like that in halo, along with the wacky fan theories that entails.

Majora is a FAR better villain then Ganon ever will be, everything it does is just a giant game to it, all for FUN.

It makes the citizens of ternmia suffer death again and again; for every mask in the game, someone died, no matter how much you try there will always be people you couldn't help in time by the 3rd day.

If you played as a kid, I garnutee you that it stuck with you far more then OoT, all of it is pure nightmare fuel; thevillain, [http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/171/6/1/Majora__s_Mask__Neon_by_TFhybrid.jpg] the mask salesman [http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs36/f/2008/275/f/f/WHERES_MY_MASK_by_Dekuinthelake.gif], the setting, all of it horrific. Hell, I'd say playing Majora's Mask was one of the most influential events of my life, I am now obbesed with the titular villain.

Especially the music
Yes, you're nailing it. The game is full of emotion. A couple having been torn apart, a deku butler losing his son, a dad turning into a zombie in front of his very daughter...these are just examples, and all of it just happened because Majora's Mask wanted to have some "fun". No evil scheme, no complicated plans...just destruction in its purest form. The whole world was full of pain. And you were completely alone in it. Sure, you could try and help some of those poor beings...but two days and a certain song later they will forget you.

And the music, oh god, yes...it's just beautiful. The Oath to Order [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuxL6om5eNo] will be my funeral song. Oh, and Calling the Giants [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yV5uEmoRIo] as well.
Exactly!

Glad to see someone who understands.

[small]In fact, on dec 21st 2012, i'll be playing the oath to order on my roof :D[/small]

Max Payne. I've played through it so many times I memorize every single enemy position and scripted event. Unfortunately no one else really loves Max Payne that much. I'm not surprised.
i thought 2 was awesome and i just played it this summer. it holds up surprisingly well. and is also surprisingly complex, gritty and fairly deep.

Metroid: Other M (Why do I talk about it in nearly every topic? I hate it, I don't want to think about it. URGH!!)

I think I already have talked about it for hours on end around here.

Dragon Age: Origins. In my defense, most of my friends play it so it's just a conventient conversation starter
What's wrong with Dragon Age? it was quite good... one of the best games of 2009...

OT: Team Fortress 2... one of my friends tried to argue that MW2 was just as balanced and well designed as TF2... I said, "hell no" and went off on him for a long while...<.<
well dragon age had the bioware story. because there is only one bioware story. opening: normal person living in normal town (or spaceship for kotor) you get attacked by an evil force, you have special power and are only one who can stop it, all ur friends die, commence saving the world etc etc. don't get me wrong... i love bioware and all their games (jade empire, mass effect, kotor, dragon age) and they do present the story very well and flesh out the characters and the world very deeply but they all do follow the same skeleton so to speak.
