To me it had been pretty much most JRPG. For non JRPG it would be Black and White if I remember correctly.
The one where you played as a god? Yeahhh that could drag on forever because of settlements and how you went about solving everything. Thats why I like 2 alot better. Easier to keep your people happy, more responsive.

Here's a bunch of blasphemy: Half Life 2 and Resident Evil 4.

Both games were incredible, and among my favorites ever. But both games overstayed their welcome. The same could be said for RDR, if only because so much time is spent just traveling the same boring locations.

Demon's Souls. There is a lot of time required to beat the game but not a lot of actual content. I honestly think that the devs only added the "die and you retry" mechanic because they realized this was a creative way to dress up the grinding in a different way.

Far Cry 2. It had you driving from point A to point B clear across the map far too many times. Also everyone trying to kill you for no apparent reason got old fast.
I agree with this statement wholeheartedly but not on the grounds that the game was unbearably long. Such would be the case if there was no fast-travel bus system, though. Still, I had many 'WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALL SHOOTING AT ME?' moments particularly when I was doing the speed limit (50 kph I assume...?) through checkpoints.

Even though they are short games already, I found the God of War games to be unbearably long even with the relatively entertaining gameplay. I don't know why I feel this way; I love anything Greek mythology and third person action games are my favourite types, and yet I could never get in to God of War. Shame.
That was a weird thing with me. I just recently got God of War 3, and I felt it was far too short. However, maybe that's because I got stuck in the Temple of Pandora in the first game a lot more often. There weren't really any head-scratching moments in 3, just a few boss fights that needed redoing a few times.

I tend to drag out my games as long as possible, or otherwise think they ended too soon. Nothing comes to mind that I found horribly drawn-out.

If I had to choose Id rather a game be too long than short, if its short I feel cheated
Idk, i don't think a game should be shorter than say 6-8 hrs, but i treat games kind of like movies.

I don't go to a movie thinking "this better be at least 2 hrs long", i judge it on its merit after i've seen it. I don't like playing 'filler crap' in a video game any more than i like watching it it a movie. If the story and experience has given me all it's got, then i would rather it just end than pad itself out.

But then again if the movie is too short, it doesn't matter how good it is, it's not a movie, its a 'short film' and i'll be damned if i'm gonna pay full ticket price for that.

I find this to be extremely racist. I live in mexico.
No really I do live in mexico but nobody wants to be here, or nobody SHOULD be here.

Portal 2. I got bored and never actually finished the game myself because of the length of it. People were talking about how great the ending was though, so I ended up watching a Let's Play by one of the guys I'm subscribed to on Youtube while playing Valkyria Chronicles 2. The ending has to be one of the two redeeming qualities that game has... the other one being the jokes. =/

Resonance of Fate. Proper great game, but seriously, I've played roughly 100 hours now and I'm still just on Chapter 8... o_O

Yeah, this is the first thing that came to my mind. The story seemed to come to a halt in Mexico and the story missions were just favors for the people. It was like the developers finished the game, and threw in more Mexico missions just to add a few hours. Luckily things got much more interesting once you left.

Portal, man. 3 hours is FAR too long for a commercial game release.
3 hours?
jeez, I played it through (albeit for the second time) and it only took about 45 minutes
and I almost completely fail at PC versions of games

I thought that RDR really dragged on, it was a fun game, but should have finished earlier.

Better to end wanting more than to end wishing it could've ended sooner, IMO.

Oblivion (Elder Scrolls IV).

I really enjoyed the game, probably played it for 200+ hours, but seriously, I don't know if I was even close to the end. Those damn Oblivion Gates just kept opening.

Far Cry was another. I had fun with it, but after the arrival of the mutants it just went on too long.

Fallout 3 had this problem for me, I maxed out my level before I even got to the radio tower.
Weirdly, Fallout 3 annoyed me because it ended too soon. Not because the game wasn't long enough, but because I still had a bunch of unfinished business when I went into the final plot mission. I didn't realise that the game would end after that mission (or even that it was the final mission) and I wouldn't be able to go and finish off my sidequests afterwards.

It's publicity. really. I get publicity to go to your country, you get publicity to come to mine. It sucks. I don't want to be here. My spaniard father came here and never left, same as my mother. Already I sound like game of thrones
