ANTI-LIFE JUSTIFIES MY HATE!

I've said it a thousand times, I'll say it a thousand more times, and it STILL won't accurately portray my hatred: Shadow the Hedgehog.

Heroes was ok, if mediocre.

But THIS... this abomination. Aliens invade the planet. Great start. Alien leader tells Shadow to get Chaos Emeralds. ...Ok, there have been worse excuses to get those rocks. But after that, all downhill. Everyone is whiney or wants to kill you, and Eggman just seems to make an appearance for the sake of being in the game. Each ending is absolute BS, only 3 endbosses besides the final one. And the context for just about everything is something you could find in a fanfiction. Guns were both pointless and useless, the game was glitchy, the homing attack, while it did trump the guns, was also useless due to pathetic targeting, and there were plenty of chances to get caught in glitches at the absolute worst moment. The only thing that was ok was the music. I liked a few of the songs from this game. But nothing could save this game from failure.

I know Sonic 06 was worse, but I never played it (thank god).

I hate MW2 now, not because the short single player campaign or the bad multiplayer, while both good reasons, but rather because the game just suddenly failed one day and no longer works. I can't figure out why and it's driving me crazy, and have tried everything I can think of to fix it. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a sign that my computer is on the verge of exploding.

Modern Warfare 2's Multiplayer.

I hate it, yet it is so addicting to play. I don't know if i'm enjoying myself while playing it or if I'l playing it for the sake of my friends playing it. I would probably enjoy it more if there was some servers and such. I dislike seeing all my friends rage over the hosting and lag.

i only plaeyed through like half the demo (about 1 tenth the games actual length lol) and that was enough. i has seen enough to tell that the game was fucking terrible.

MW2. I've only rented this but I just didn't like it at all, I spent the majority of the campaign waiting for jam to peel of my face from behind a box before poping up for 1/2 a second only to get my head filled with lead before I could do anything about it. The multiplayer just wasn't fun for me. It seemed like I was the only person not cheating, camping, or noob-tubing.

I hated Majora's Mask. It probably didn't help that I was playing the Gamecube version and had it crash on me every two hours. I just didn't like the reuse of the old graphics (Koume and Kotake are NOT shopkeepers), and the time mechanic got really old, really fast.

Magical Starsign for the DS was a terrible game. It had an interesting battle mechanic, but it wore out its welcome really quickly. And the story and characterization was absolutely terrible.

I didn't like Knights in the Nightmare for the DS, either, but mostly because the entire system felt impenetrable to me. I don't like games that have learning curves with negative slopes, and I quit after the first turn of the first battle. With how slow that one turn went, I dropped the game and haven't looked back since.

OT: The Force Unleashed for Wii. WORST. CONTROLS. EVER. It's the only game I've ever gotten, rented or bought, that I returned to the store 30 minutes later. I hate that game with the flaming fire of a thousand suns...and George Lucas needs to stop raping the franchise and do something *original* for a change, the lazy fuck...

And that's *my* opinion.
That's probably because you got it on Wii, to be fair :p
I'm not defending the story or anything, but the PC version is quite fun.
Oh definitely! I don't deny that the Wii controls suck ass for this game...however...

I thought that perhaps I wasn't giving it a fair try after bringing it back to the rental place, so I thought I'd give the PS3 version a shot, instead. The controls were a bajillion times better than the Wii, that goes without saying, and the level design and graphics were greatly improved, as well. Points for.

Unfortunately, that means nothing...I still hate this game. Don't ask me why, it's probably something irrational (actually, I'm pretty SURE it's something irrational), but I just could NOT get into this game. Frankly, I've had it with the Star Wars franchise...and now I'm going to take my original collection of the *true* Star Wars trilogy and curl up into a little ball in the corner in order to protect them from the nasty step-father who keeps raping them...

Starcraft. I LOVED the second one, but the first one was kind of a grind.
im no fanboy, i hate rts, actually. still, i find this surprising considering they both play the same but the first one had, im my opinion, a much deeper and less predictable story

i always get labeled a troll when i say this but, the kotor series. i think the problem is that i didnt play it until just recently and everything that game did that was innovative and ground breaking when it came out, is now included in every rpg on the market

oh, and final fantasy 12, though my hatred for that game is probably MUCH less controversial

Lost Planet.

The concept had me hooked, and I bought the game, happy as a puppy, excited to get home and try my new game. Little did I know what giant turd lay in ambush, ready to rape my expectations with shitty controls, irritating characters, retarded plot, and tedious-to-the-point-of-sleep-inducing gameplay. The much-hyped boss fights were over-simplified, and the rest of the combat was generic and felt like Dinasty Warriors with guns, which is an insult unto itself.

Never again.

Far Cry 2, it heroicly leaps across the "too much realism" line. Every mission and sub mission took the piss to even get too due to the fail map system, and the driving sucked balls. Soul crushingly bad, probably the only single player game I haven't completed.

L4D1, in my opinion. Mainly, I just didnt like the fact it was just Stupid, always the same thing, kill, escape, rinse and repeat... also, it ALWAYS took place in dark stormy generic area. I dont know if the sequel fixes, this, but I only played the first. also, MW2 Online. Its so annoying to get sworn at by a seven year old, then get killed within 5 seconds of spawning, and not earning experience off of private matches. This is MY opinion, i dont care how much you like it :(

I'll have to agree with you on that one. Don't even know why I stuck through the whole grind, I guess the gunfights were still ok, but getting from A to B sucked quite badly.

Other than that, I tried this frustrating mess of a game: Conflict: Denied Ops. But then it's hard to give a quantified judgement on a game you 'hated', because chances are you didn't get to finish it, or even get very far... I did get pretty far in Command & Conquer 3 tho, when it suddenly got a bit too boring for me and I haven't looked back since.

Why would you do that?! The Conflict series hasn't been decent since...

Well, never, really.

I've beaten this horse to death, but Grand Theft Auto IV.

I've never been a huge GTA fan, but I've at least enjoyed the other ones. GTAIV was a chore right from the start. I've tried a few times to push past the stuff I hate, but it just keeps wearing me down.
I'm almost with you there.

I picked it up and popped it in just to give it a test spin. I do this with all my new games, not only to make sure it works but also to test the fun factor.

I spent six hours playing GTA IV waiting for the fun to start. It was the most excruciating non-fun start to a game that I have ever played. I tossed it into a dark corner for a few months and was determined to give it another shot. Got a bit further and it started getting a bit fun... not like awesome fun, because the game is still in tutorial mode, but it would have made a solid start. But after that six hour crap-fest start, I was not prepared to like it.

Then a funny thing happened... it actually got damn good. Still the problem of crappy car handling (honestly can't see why they made cars such a chore to drive) and the combat mechanic was stupid easy; but I actually started liking the game so much I picked up the two DLCs. I still prefer Saints Row 2 to it, but if they had cut the first six hours off the game, tightened up the car controls, and tweaked a few things here and there, it would have been a frakkin' amazing game.

But six hours to start getting mildly fun is way, way, way, way too long.
