Persona 3
For the first hour and a half it's basically almost entirely cutscenes and dialogue. You fight a couple turn based battles and occasionally the game will let you take control so you can move a few feet to get to the next area and trigger more cutscenes and dialogue.
After that, I just got to the point where the game will let me go into a dungeon with 20 minutes of dialogue before, after and during combat but I know that as soon as I leave I'll have to site through even more of it.
I understand that the story to Persona is the main draw obviously and I'm willing to accept that it may have a good story. The problem is that it's told very badly. The Metal Gear Solid method of storytelling, that is never letting the player play the game for more than 5 minutes without interruption, is a pretty terrible and amateur way of telling a story in a video game. I shouldn't have to sit through 20 minutes of exposition every time I go to a different screen or finish a fight.
As it is, Persona 3 is more of a visual novel than an actual game. Unfortunately, I don't have the patience to read a 70+ hour (According to the back of the game box) visual novel. Hell, I wouldn't read an actual novel that was 70+ hours long.
