I suppose you meant in your circle of friends only considering FFX is arguably the second most popular title in the series, having even won a favorite poll over FFVII and frequently cited as one of the best games available on the PS2. So it is definitely not a overly disliked title by any means. Personally I found the voice actor and dialogue relatively solid. This was after all the first game to have as much voiced content as it did or close to it.Ace of Spades said:FF10. I'm the only one among my friends who will play and analyze JRPGs, and for all its frustrations, its combat and narrative were enough to make up for the flaws. One thing I like about Final Fantasy games is that even if the dialogue and fine detailing of the story can be a bit poorly written and poorly voiced, the overarching story always asks an interesting question, and FF10 asked which is a greater evil: living in a world ruled by sorrow, or one ruled by false hope.
I agree, I enjoyed FF10, with the exception of the voice actor for Tidus. Could've been better, though granted, it could've been worse as well. Overall, Final Fantasy 10 was a solid game, and I'm glad it ended my PS2 virginity.Bourne Endeavor said:I suppose you meant in your circle of friends only considering FFX is arguably the second most popular title in the series, having even won a favorite poll over FFVII and frequently cited as one of the best games available on the PS2. this. thisthisthisthisthis. it's got such a huge learning curve, and the controls take a while, and the camera sucks ass, but once you get past all that, you're IN. it just destroys your life. seriously, me and three other friends got the game over the summer, disliked the game at first, but once we figured everything out...let's just say there were plenty of sleepless nights spent killing monsters.HeySeansOnline said:The Monster Hunter games, we MH fans can somehow look past a steep learning curve, bad camera controls, annoying load times, terrible hit boxes, and repetitive grindy gameplay, and still enjoy this series.
My dislike of the dialogue was mostly centered around Maester Seymour. I hate everything about that guy, and I would have elevated FF10 from 'very good' to excellent if he had been cut out entirely.Bourne Endeavor said:I suppose you meant in your circle of friends only considering FFX is arguably the second most popular title in the series, having even won a favorite poll over FFVII and frequently cited as one of the best games available on the PS2. I liked FF12 also. It was actually my first experience with the Final Fantasy Series. I prefer 10 though.Theo Rob said:i belive that ff10 is a genraly underated game with a brilliant story and an end that left me sad but satisfiedAce of Spades said:FF10. sometimes of the time forums regarding ff reject anyone whose favroute game is not 7 or 8 and GOD help you if you tell them you like 12 (i did and it wasnt pretty)
I thought this was considered to be the best of the Final Fantasy games. Frankly, it's the only one I consider any good.Ace of Spades said:FF10.
