The Orange Box.

Probably my most regretful purchase ever.

AHHHHHH!!!

AAAHHHHHHHHHAAHHHH!!!!

AAHHHHHAHHAHHAAHHHHHHAHAHAHHAAHHHH!!!!!

Well, I suppose it's all about opinions any ways so I'm not going to have a childish fanboy rant at you as all I do is bash fanboys in forums...

...

Quake Wars for me. I am a MASSIVE Quake fan and all I got was a crappy A.I system, pre-gen graphics and sluggish, rigid controls.

Then I bought the PC version :D

Battlefield: Bad Company. It was good when I played the demo, but I got it almost a year after release and nobody played online. Plus, the Campaign is corny. What a waste of $20... I also only play Black Ops for zombies every once in a while, so it really isn't worth it.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
(because it raped a magnificent series)

.Hack: Infection
(an MMORPG you play offline... wow, I don't know what the developers were smoking but they need to cut the dose)

Gregory Horror Show
(not a bad game actually, just not my style)

????
(I don't remember what game it was... But I remember that I sold exactly 4 games in my life, I just can't remember what the fourth one was)

The Darkness, crappiest game I ever bought. Luckily I got it used at GameStop for about 2 bucks. As such it's also the cheapest game I've ever bought (excluding free ones). I guess you get what you pay for -_-...

I couldn't help but read other people's comments in this thread:
GTA IV & Mass Effect 2 are games you regret buying? dang... those are probably among the few that really deserve to be bought. I do agree that GTA IV lacked GTA SA's & Vice City's spark.
On the other hand I agree with everything else posted here :D.

Resonance of Fate
Blue Dragon

I just keep falling and falling for those JRPG's.
And honestly, I hate their guts. I want to give them a chance time and time again and they are just not for me.

Hmmm, I sound like Yahtzee.

The one that sticks out the most is Guiness World Records: The Game for the DS. Total waste of money

Dragon Age 2, Resident Evil 5, and Bioshock 2. Games that were created to milk a franchise. With emphasis on my hatred for Resident Evil 5 it is number one on my list of things that I wish I could throw into the sun.

Portal 2. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but it has no replay value. I really should have just rented it.
User created levels soon to come pouring in for that so you'll get more value there.

Alan Wake...it peeked 5 minutes in as soon as I killed an enemy once and then did it 20 times against the same killer lumberjack.

Bioshock 2 - a sequel made by people that didn't make the original...yikes.

Alone In The Dark espically when I bought the special edition of it. Ok the figure and artbook were cool but I dislike the game and the soundtrack.
Zak and Wiki and De Blob are something I regret buying as well althought I bought those games cheap.

Homefront. I wasn't really excited about it, nor did I think it would be good?it just turned out to be worse than I could have imagined.
I mostly bought it for the hat. A couple weeks later, Valve released a similar-but-cooler looking hat, the proceeds of which went to charity. I did buy that hat, but I regret Homefront, nevertheless.

Final Fantasy 13.

Just, FF XIII. At least X and X-2 were so bad they were funny, but this was just to horrid. Let's just let Square make movies now.
well atleast FF versus 13 is being made by tetsuya nomura the guy who made kingdom hearts and that series is AWESOME!
(still dont know why it isnt called ff15 it has nothing to do with FF13)

Some game called Political Tycoon. It was so incredibly boring.

Edit: Also, X3: The Terran Conflict. I bought it because I read somewhere that it was supposed to be the last of the space sims. I loved space sims back in the day. Tachyon, Independence War 2, Starlancer, Freelancer... all of them are amongst my favorite games. But the controls were some of the most convoluted I've ever encountered and I just gave up trying to figure them out. It also didn't help that the opening intro was one of the blandest, most underwhelming openings I've ever ever seen in a game. Still, like Yahtzee, I really hope that the space sim genre gets revived in the future.

This thread = why I love gamefly.

I have absolutly hated some highly acclaimed games and I would be in this boat more often if I didn't use gamefly. For example, I hated Bayonetta. Stupid and boring and not fun, glad I didn't buy that crap.

For my game its, UFC 2010. I loved 2009 and me and my friends would gather and pplay before events. 2010 made the already complex controls infinatly moreso while the career mode was complex micromanaging. Throw in some poor balancing that let you sub anybody with a good grappler and you couldnt fight without verbally agreeing to conditions. Barely played that.

Aliens vs Predator

The memory leak was too much to handle. Even though I did enjoy the predator campaign, the other campaigns were pretty tedious.
