Arkham City. I loved Arkham Asylum, but just feel the large sandbox setting detracts hugely from the game. Hit a snag early on where I just couldn't find where to go and gave up. Played about two/three hours total maybe.

I should have really liked the God of War series. Greek mythology, lots of action, some platforming, basically a lot of elements that I like. I beat the first game, played half of the second and just stopped. I was just not enjoying it, not getting any fun out of it.

Borderlands, both 1 and 2.

I see all the things people like. RPG elements, fun cast of characters, solid gameplay, cool art style, but it feels empty. All style and no substance. I just can't enjoy the game when I play it.

Also, how did it ever make sense that gaining armor would lower your armor score?
The same way having a lower ThAC0 means you're more likely to hit.

Yes, AD&D rules are evil, but they are fair. Mercilessly, brutally fair.

That is until you beef up a magic class (or more likely, go against a beefed up wizard) and go "Well okay, everybody hide in the corner until all his contingencies and sequencers go off..."

Quick answer which I've just been talking about in another thread:

Saint's Row 3
I love the first two Saint's Row games, but the third just annoyed the hell out of me,
here's why:
*Too silly
*If you're gonna kill off a character, kill off Pierce! No-one liked him!
*Too silly
*Random plot that jumps all over the place
*Too silly
I basically lost all interest when I finished a mission in which my headquarters was blown up and we had to evacuate, and after the mission everything was back to normal. Building was back, headquarters was back; nothing changed at all. Same with destroying the zombies; WHY ARE THEY STILL HERE.

Frustrated the hell out of me and made me lose all sense of acomplishment; why would I do this mission if it has no impact etc.

I liked the character customization though.

SKYRIM : this was my first elder scrolls game. this was supposed to be so awesome and so hyped up. but all it is just a list of boring fetch quests and dull characters thin story etc.huge world to explore but nothing worth exploring for

SAINTS ROW 3: i bought this game after reading many reviews stating how fun and over the top this game is.
but its not all that fun. its same boring repetitive mission to go kill a thousand guys at this place. story is very dull and lifeless.

MIRRORS EDGE : terrible story , repetitive gameplay and horrible combat make this a very non fun game to me

demon souls, the settings, the difficulty, the armor sets, i like all these things and yet i dont like it.
That's interesting. I had a bit of a tough time getting into it's ''sequel'' Dark Souls myself but once I got into it, it wouldn't let me go. I'm actually still playing it. I must have sunk over a hundred hours into it, easily. Assuming Demon's Souls isn't too different from Dark Souls, it is a little tough to get a hang of the game since it doesn't really explain anything to you. The Wiki's on Dark Souls were a great help to me too.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The setting and gameplay should be interesting to me, but I never could play more than a few hours due to getting extremely bored.

Torchlight 2.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the first game, and the genre has been my precious baby all my gaming life. I played the shit out of the first two Diablos, modestly enjoyed D3 for a short while, and have enjoyed many other clones and play-alikes.

But I can't stand Torchlight 2. I don't know exactly why, but whenever I am playing it I just want to be doing something else. It's so god-damn BORING. Everything feels very wispy and shallow and It feels like I am just clicking on pointless nothing on the screen for the 15 minutes I can stand it before I get frustratingly bored and go do something else.

I really want to enjoy it, but I just can't.

Perhaps you ought to read the OP, as well as the title again.

We were not asked about what popular games that we dislike. We were asked about games that we should like, but do not.

I was playing Crysis 2 recently and while I enjoyed the combat and the phenomenal graphics, I had a hard time keeping myself engaged. After a few hours I quit and I never really picked it back up again.
Glad I'm not alone with that one.

I picked up Crysis, its expansion, and Crysis 2 during a Steam sale for like $10. I freaking loved Crysis and the expansion. But Crysis 2... ugh.

Sure, it may have been prettier... but it was also far clunkier and a ridiculously shallow corridor shooter with most of the things that made the first game great completely gutted from it.

As for something of my own to add...

Metroid Prime, and all similar Metroid games. I love Metroid on the NES and SNES, and in concept I love the idea of what Metroid Prime does with the series... but for some reason I just can't get into it. I'm not even really sure what the deal is, since the game is comprised of a bunch of game elements that I absolutely love.

Hearts of Iron 3 - The load times just made it impossible for me to play without wanting to strangle myself which is sad because I really enjoyed its predecessors. Maybe I should go back and try it again with a super powerful processor, I dunno.

something isn't mature just because you put alot of naked women
There's literally one naked woman the entire game that isn't reliant on a choice you make. And another that isn't from you literally requesting to see a naked woman(If you kill Baron LaValette) and that only shows up if you go to the dungeons instead of the other path. So unless you're constantly seeking nudity, the most you are going to see is one nude and one topless. Which is hardly alot [http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_D_Z-D2tzi14/S8TRIo4br3I/AAAAAAAACv4/Zh7_GcMlRKo/s400/ALOT.png] of naked women. I mean comparatively Mass Effect 1 had close to the same nudity content.

Fair enough, I just know that the first thing that happens in the game is a sex-scene and I didn't play long after because I didn't care for the combat. Also, whether by choice or not you can't really contest that the game does have a kind of game-of-thrones esque fascination with sex, seeing as you in the first Witcher-game even collected cards for the women you had sex with if I remember correctly.

Uncharted 3

The first game was pretty good, the second was friggin amazing, but the third one...I just...I dunno...

Parts of it felt really cheap, and the story really bothered me for some reason I don't remember. I seem to remember the controls or combat or something bothering me a lot, too. I guess I felt like Uncharted 2 had a really great balance to it, and 3 tried tweaking it to make a lot of things better, and it completely threw off the balance. By the end, I kept playing simply because I refused to let the game win.

You know its bad when something horrible happens to one of your favorite characters...
Sully dying.
...and it doesn't make any sort of emotional impact. Its all made worse when...
it turns out the whole the was a hallucination. Like they were TRYING to pull at my heartstrings and manipulate my emotions, but they failed at the whole thing so spectacularly.
In short, I really can't think of a single thing I liked about Uncharted 3, which is too bad, because I can't think about a single significant issue I had with Uncharted 2.
I overall enjoyed 3 but yeah, 2's campaign was better. As to why the story bothered you, I think it's b/c in interviews, ND talked about how they had an idea for a set piece and tried to fit it in to the story. I don't know if that's the way they did it for 2, but if it was, it didn't work as well for 3. Plus the villains, were kinda disappointing. Marlowe hardly does anything, and Talbot is kinda confusing. Is he mystical? How does he vanish into thin air and take a bullet to the gut and come back like nothing happened? What's his connection to Marlowe, he seems, really loyal to her for some reason.

Sure, can't argue with that. But Game of Thrones much like TW2 has a great deal of actually maturity and depth that goes beyond the superficial. They are actually quite alike. The chief difference where storytelling is concerned, is that TW2 is told through one set of eyes, whereas GoT is told through dozens. There's the same gore, nudity, cursing but there's also the same political intrigue and moral depth. And that's what makes both actually mature.

Also personally from a business standpoint I think it's a fantastic way to make media be it games or TV. Form a core consumer base that will always support your games because of the intellectual points behind them, the storytelling among other things. And then bring in everyone who isn't interested in those aforementioned things, by giving them nudity and gore. It's probably the best way(If not only way) to create high quality products that aren't mainstream in their actual content.

Vanquish - I got the demo and loved the gameplay, but the main character sam... God his voice pisses me off, the gruffness feels too forced that i lost interest after the first mission.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - tried playing it twice furthest i've got is being given the zip-line hook. and i'm not playing AC3 until i've force myself to finish it.

@ everyone that mention Saint Row The Third; i agree with you all, killing Gat was handled very poorly and changing everyone's personality ruined it for me too. I didn't feel like I was interacting with the same people I took over stillwater but a bunch of random people who stole their identities.
