Real Answer: Phantasy Star IV. It's been long enough.
Fuckin-A!
PSO just isn't the same. On the new consoles they would probably make the combat really cool: I'm thinking Valkyria Chronicles meets Fallout VATS.

I'd like to see a sequel to GTA Chinatown Wars, on the pswii360(whatever), in console style 3d, in San Andreas. Catlina as the protagonist, or someone psycho like that.

I'll start:
star wars:republic commando.
Ghost in the shell (The original psone game), Heart Of Darkness, Adventures of Alundra (one that actually ties in, two was rubbish), Vagrant story, Call of Cthulu, and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (definately deserves a sequel).

The Legend of Dragoon--I would dearly love to see either a sequel or a current-gen remake.
I think I love you. :D

Seriously, though, this game was awesome. I still like to bust it out and play it every now and again. I agree, a current-gen would be great, preferably using less than four discs.
I can't believe I forgot about Legend of Dragoon. Possibly one of the first games ever to incorporate real-time elements into turn based battles. Genius.
People at the time said it was a final fantasy ripoff, and I have to say they were wrong.
The game was nothing like Final Fantasy 7, 8 or 9 (I use these examples as Legend of Dragoon used active computer graphic models laid over a pre-rendered photo-realistic background just like those other 3 games), but fuck it was great.
Hard at times though.
I had a bit of trouble on those... oh crap I forget what they were called. They were the enemies of the Winglies. Massive behemoth beast things with wings.

Only game that I can think of that desperately *needs* a sequel. For being a third-person knock-off of Halo, it was great! Glitch is easily one of my top 10 favorite protagonists.

Super Smash Brothers Melee. Don't tell me Brawl, saying that is part of the series is like saying there is such thing as Indy 4.

Perfect Dark. The one on Xbox doesn't count.

Oh lets just say I don't like most sequals because they are rubbish.

Mirror's Edge
Star Wars: Battlefront
Folklore (same general concept, new main characters since the first game has a definite ending)
Unreal Tournament
Valkyria Chronicles (again, same general concept but set in a new area/time since the first game had a proper ending in my opinion. Oh and not that game for the PSP either, I want one for PS3)
JET SET RADIO FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ridge Racer
Lost Odyssey (AGAIN I say, new main cast. new story)
Beyond Good & Evil

And Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter. A new one of that would be sweet, it'd be like mass effect except your Han Solo!

I really don't think any games on this list that had definite endings should have sequels. I would love to see similar games in similar styles but why make sequels? As Yahtzee would say, to appeal to fanboys?
Now I loved Eternal Darkness but it was great enough the way it is. I don't think a sequel would make it better.

I only really beleive in sequels to games that plan to have one, or are screaming to have one, as in there are unresolved storylines. IE - Chrono Trigger. And no, Crono Cross doesn't count.
my 2 cents anyway.

My friend, we think alike.
That makes three of us. Picking up people, lighting them on fire and then throwing them into walls never gets old.

Sonic Adventure 2. It had to be said. Unforgiven Dungeons. Dark Reign. Stepterra Core. Arcanum. Dungeon Keeper 2. Freedom Force 2. Duke Nuk'em.

And I have more. Most of these games had their charms, all had character for the best or worst. They all should have had squels but didn't because of one reason or another.
