I can see where you're getting at, as a lot of my friends (including me) who play the CoD series don't seem to pick up a whole lot of games on the current gen systems outside of it. However, I think you need to be a little bit clearer on defining what a "real gamer" truly is. True you mention the "twitchy" FPS crowd who only enjoy killing people, but I think you need to go a little bit further. Because I have been playing games since the SNES generation, and have followed it pretty religiously up until this current generation, where upon I mainly just play CoD and Battlefield online maybe once or twice a week, nothing else. Why don't I play a lot of the other big titles on the market? Because in my opinion a lot of the new-gen games really aren't that great. Sure things have advanced in graphics and hardware abilities, but the "core" gameplay seems to be getting put aside so the 360 and PS3 can continue to show off how detailed their visuals can be. There's probably more to a lack of gameplay in recent times than simply a huge reliance on visuals, but as far as I can tell when visuals go up, gameplay seems to have a habbit of going down (but not all of the time). I won't even get started on the Wii.
So, yeah, I really don't play a whole lot of current gen games. Does that mean I'm not a "real" gamer? I guess you could say I went from being a hardcore gamer to more of a casual gamer since I've been playing them a lot less, but does that make me any less of a gamer than someone who plays every single game that comes out on the market? I would like to see a clearer definition on what being a "real" gamer truly means.
well I guess Dante's inferno as it hasn't already been said. There would be one less major press debacle.
Sorry but m fanboy is coming out. The people you plays in gears are not space marines. They are NEVER in space, and are NOT marines. I'd erase A Hero's Tail over EtD, personally. That was when Spyro REALLY hit the skids. Not even my un-jaded childhood eyes could enjoy it. And those eyes enjoyed Astro Boy PS2.mew4ever23 said:

Edit: Saw someone else mention Spore, that too, just because that game depresses me. They took what might have been the most awesome looking game of all time and just beat it to death with a cheese grinder.

Unfortunately no matter how many of my best works are derived from visual elements of that game, it shall never be enough to convince some people it wasn't worthless.

I also second Portal, $20 for a 45 minute game when it came out and annoying memes? I don't think so.
Oh and I almost forgot, Bulletstorm. Terrible, boring game. No challenge at all and the marketing was awful, mostly because everything that was mocked and made fun of was still included in the game.
