Rondo of Swords
The game's biggest criticism was that it was unfairly difficult at (many) times, but I thought that, it's unique battle system, and it's plethora of character's was great.

I'd also like to see a super difficult sequel for Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja.
The game introduced me to roguelikes, had nice character designs (imo at least), and typical Atlus humor. Unfortunately it's sequel loaded up on extra activities and made it more... accessible.

Oh, and Dashin' Desperados!

I would love to see an "upgraded" version of BG2. just a graphics and sounds update, keep it in the isometric. dont DARE touch the story and gameplay mechanics, they will always be perfect.
Played the first, if your talking about baldurs gate and not something else with the same initial and I have to say... it made me a gamer, Minsc: Go for the eye's Boo, GO FOR THE EYE'S! Jahera: If a tree falls in the forest... I'll kill the bas***d that caused it (some ranger who I cant remember the name of): Your bravery shames the other's Kalahid(in response): oh... well... umm, thank you? ha, you really felt in-charge of actual people not people at base, heartless robots in combat.

i'd like to see a return of the god simulator.
Oh god(excuse the pun) yes, before they put in the whole, four missions fighting some random side group, one mission fighting the guy's that apperantly have taken over everything even though they have the least territory and the enemy teams only attack, never convert.

Secret of Mana. Hell, done correctly, you could even turn it into an MMO.

(Secretly, though, I just want rabite slippers and a rabite bean bag chair.)

Baldur's Gate 2 would be pretty sweet to see given the HD treatment. Would be nice to overhaul the number system too. D&D mechanics don't often translate well to video games I find.

Also, Oregon Trail. I wouldn't want kids today to miss out on the fun :)

Shadow Hearts for me please. An overlooked RPG, that encompassed real world events, conspiracy theories, demons and lovecraftian horror.
Graphical Overhaul please, keep the dialogue and most cut scenes text based and it's fine :D

Dark Cloud. Its like Zelda, but with world building and crafting elements.

And I won't have to put up with Nintendo's bullshit to get it.

True! (The amount of effort required to get the chronical sword though, it makes me sweat just thinking about it (thank someone for werewolves though))

OT: FFX, it tries to be realistic, meaning it isn't one of those games that would lose its charm if it got a graphics upgrade.

A bit obscure, but definitley the "Commandos" stealth-strategy franchise. They were so much fun until Strike Force kinda killed it by being a bland FPS. Slowly taking apart the enemy base was very satisfying, although frustrating when you finish half of a mission and get all your guys killed and remembering you didn't quick save

Legend of Dragoon
When an 11 year old game has visuals and graphics that look awesome by today's standards, remaking it is dealing with powers I'm not sure we are ready for.

Homeworld, Please Relic the 40k stuff is awesome, but so were the space ships. Not to mention the pretty, pretty art.
Planetside, I want an MMOFPS that actually lives up to it's name again. (Yeah I know it is still technically going..)

The correct answer to this question would be StarCraft: Ghost.

I was so pumped for that game when it was in production.
Too true, friend. Such is my answer and feeling.

Legend (Four Crystals of Trazere) and its sequel Worlds of Legend: Sons of the Empire released back in the glory days of the Amiga.

Many modern games (notably RPG and dungeon crawler types) owe their heritage to these insanely advanced games.

Blizzard fans sit expectantly waiting for Diablo III to fall, but I sit hoping that the true father is woken up by EA and shows you all what a true dungeon crawler could be.

Doesn't make sense why they don't - although when Diablo does drop and makes a load of money, I expect EA to make a move. Seems to be the pattern that no one makes a move until Activision does.
