Last Christmas I got my mom Peggle and my dad Puzzle Quest for the PSP he bought to watch movies on the train on the way to work. They've played them daily ever since.

Not quite. My mom doesn't and never could play video games for some reason, and my dad, while not a gamer by any means, certainly wasn't unfamiliar enough with games to be considered a non-gamer fifteen years ago. He played games every once in a while back in the days of the NES and SNES, Super C being one in particular. Hell, he used to be fucking awesome with Marshall Law in Tekken.

My mum severely objects to the random genocidal acts I always commit on games; however, she was more than happy to merrily blast away soldiers during the "Gunboat" sequence of "Mission Impossible" on the N64.

My dad, on the other hand, was a fan of the F-Zero series, and Jack Niclaus' Golf on PC. And Doom on Windows 3.5.

My Mom used to love Mario games and stuff. Now she doesnt ever play anything. :p
My dad used to love everything, lol. He was pretty into video games back in the day, lol. And we often played big multi-player games like mario kart and other racing games and mario party and sports games like golf and such. Fun, fun, fun.

My dad won't let me list any great games off without lecturing on how wonderful the mario bros arcade was.
The only game my mother ever played that was simplistic enough for her (she has trouble with email) was mario kart double dash, and that was only with my brother or I driving for her. Does that count?

My parents are technophobes. My mum hadn't even played a videogame until we got a wii and she tried wii sports. She hadn't even played space invaders or pong in her youth. My dad, same story. the most they ever did was watch me play resi 4 and mock the terrible dialogue.

My mum loves Bejewelled. She's also a bit of a fan of Gift of the Yeti on Facebook.

My dad did play Myst during the 90s, he called it a "incredible distraction", but I don't really think that he thought of it as a video-game in the same way we think of videogames.

My dad plays, and has played, quite a lot of video games. We probably own around 500 computer games, all in all (rough guess, and not a chance I'm counting all of them). Kind of hard to say what his favourites are. He does play WoW, and EVE. I do know about one game he does love, and that's System Shock (can't recall whether it's 1 or 2).

My mother's favourite game is definitely Tetris, but she doesn't play it much. Lots of work, little spare time.

We used to play games together when me and my brother were younger, the ones I can remember are King's Quest (don't know which one), Worms and Action Soccer. Might have been some more, but can't remember any.

My mom tried playing LittleBigPlanet. Not too complex, but a little hard level wise sometimes.

My folks like colums and the old-school sonic games. My dad will try the more tactical of the 1stperson shooters ocasionally, but he's a bit picky on which ones.

Mum doesn't play on video games.
My Dad is starting to play them. He loves Mario Kart for the Wii and he likes Guitar Hero/Rockband. I'm actually getting him Beatles Rockband for christmas...
