Gaming Alien Race with the Coolest Technology

Aliens... we see them all the time in games. No, not the ones who speak Spanish (That was a joke, people. Take it easy), the ones from outer space! These celestial beings often bring technology that far surpases our own. What alien race from a game has the coolest technology? This could be categorized under form or function, which looks cooler and which works cooler?

Personally, I like the Covenant's tech from Halo. The designs are imaginative, and they shoot plasma! Awesome!

Honorable mention to the Drudge from the Conduit, though. Because all of their tech is alive.

The Chozo from Metroid. Their technology makes up much of the environment in the Prime series.

I'll admit, Covenant technology is very elegant and bad-ass at the same time. But if you've read the Halo novels, the Covenant simply imitate Forerunner technology, so the Covenant isn't that impressive.

I'll admit, Covenant technology is very elegant and bad-ass at the same time. But if you've read the Halo novels, the Covenant simply imitate Forerunner technology, so the Covenant isn't that impressive.

That's the exact description of Covenant tech. All they can really do is copy the Forerunner's creations. Which gave humans an advantage over them when they managed to utilize this technology better than the Covenant could.

I hate them. The ruins level in Metroid Prime was enough to make me hate them. It was so repetitive and boring, and only became even more frustrating when the stupid ghosts started appearing in it.

I see this a lot, actually. I can't think of any real examples aside from the race from Perfect Dark and from Prey, but I'm sure it's in more, like Battlezone/Battlezone 2. But I do like that aspect as well.

Anyway, it would have to be the Antarans from Master of Orion.
