Still looking for a gaming buddy who I could tolerate as a significant other. Hasn't been very successful since the people who fit that description tend to live hundreds of miles from me. :(

My beloved one and me, we usually just play classics on SNES, Gameboy or Wii-games together.
She, being similar to me in sometimes scary ways, just hasnt the patience to get into new kinds of gaming. If i am not flashed and excited from the first second on, i experience the same.
But if i can get some controllers for my PC i probably will get her with Marvel Ultimate Alliance, its simple,co-op, and it features X-Men and Fantastic 4. My girl loves her X-men.

Pretty much every day off now I play new super mario brothers with my Hubby, and looking at trying to find other good wii co op games.

P.S New Super Mario Bro's is amazingly tough at times so not really recommend for novice gamers.

Considering that I don't usually date geek/nerd girls, this tends to severely limit the amount of gaming I do with significant others. I greatly prefer girls who have interests besides games.

I'm playing Heavy Rain with my current girlfriend, but that's about all she's interested in aside from Wii games.

My ex and I played WoW together all the time, and got together with another WoW couple and had sex...I mean, partied up and ran instances. Heh heh, yeah...that's what I meant.
PM me with the details. With a name like sweaty ballsack, they must be good. I must know.
Well, there was a lot of vodka and peyote involved, so my memory of the events in question is dubious at best.

My Girlfriend likes to watch me play videogames, especially KillZone 2 if I'm drunk online and therefore performing poorly and throw fits claiming the shots aren't registering, but she doesn't partake with me.
Yeah, this is what usually happens with me and mine. Like, they actually say they enjoy watching but prefer not to play.
I'm not too sure about your other half, but I have the feeling my girlfriend watches me play just to take part in my hobby because she's never ever had an interest in gaming and never touched a controller, which is very sweet.

My girlfriend plays a bit, not as much as me though.

She liked Oblivion, and it is hilarious to watch her.

>Walks into store

>Accidently steals something

>People her angry and tell her to leave

>Guards pursue her

>She pays fine and guard says "I was hoping you would resist arrest"

>She does not understand what will happend when she resist arrest.

>She reloads the game and choose resist arrest.

>Guards kill her.

I was laughing so much.

I've always wanted a girlfriend who was into video games, but at the same time I think I would find it extremely weird...

Whilst I love my boyfriend ever-oh-so-much, he doesn't half annoy me over certain things. Gaming being one of them. He's a terrible "backseat driver" kind of person... That's whether we play co-op (rarely, as I tend to prefer RPGs anyhow) or if he's watching me play a game solo. I've been known to quit playing because he winds me up so much telling me what/how to play certain things cause he can't just sit and watch, he has to try and "help".

So we don't tend to play together all that often. Rather be doing other things with him anyway!

I like playing co-op with him, but he prefers playing online with his friends.
That's fine, we live together, so we can't do everything together all the time.
Sometimes he adds me in games as a guest, as I don't have a gold subscription and I'll play with him and his friends.
Fighting games are quite fun to play together. I'm a bad loser, so I'll start nipping him or calling him a one-move-Molly if I lose >__>

I've never had a problem with any boyfriend or partner about playing games. I remember lazy sundays where we'd get up at like, 11am, go and get subway for lunch and come back and play games for about 9-10 hours.

I love those kind of Sundays <3
D: I want Subway now.
I'd love to do that, but the nearest Subway is about 15 minutes away, and I usually work on Sundays >___>; Grr.

Oh nooo! But they are some of the best! You have to change your work schedule for Sunday Game Day ;) It's the ultimate.

Although mind you don't listen to me, cos my last boyfriend cheated on me and left - so obviously Sunday Game Day wasn't that grand >_>

my wife doesn't do very well with shooters, but she does like turn based RPGs, puzzle games and other stuff. she does play board games with me and my friends. so far she kicks ass in games like arkham horror, and descent.

The he is a big FAIL who missed out on a lovely girlfriend!
Just go into Games workshop with a sign that has an arrow pointing to you saying 'Girl into gaming, also single'
They'll be over you like white on rice :p

No matter how hilarious that sounds - I am actually slightly scared to do that :S
I may just wait and see what happens in the future ;) haha!

My girlfriend loves co-op shooters, mainly fps games.
The following are the ones that we had the most fun playing (starting from the best one)
- L4D2
- L4D1 (yup, we love l4d)
- Halo 3
- Gears of War 2 (she made me stay awake until 5 AM so that we could finish it that day)
- Res 5
- Army of two
- Ghost Recon (with another couple 4vs computer)

I started playing the Lego series with her (Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones). She liked it enough to play from time to time but since she discovered shooters and learned how to handle the controls that's the only thing she plays.

Also tried FIFA but was no good.

Depending on the game, my girlfriend joins in.

Especially if it's Burnout Paradise.
