Getting almost to the very end of Blade Kitten in one setting before getting stuck and quitting for the time being and then finding out that I have to run at as administrator before it lets the autosave work.

how was that an FML moment?
Go to youtube and watch it in HD full screen, then youll be able to see the hitmarkers easier
I saw the hitmarkers but it still wasn't bad. I have had much worse moments when playing Cod online.
Elaborate please, that is the whole point of the thread
Mostly has to do with watching your bullets ineffectively pour into an enemy in MW2 then die and watch in kill cam as the lag cuts those successful hits down to one or two.
That happens all the time to everyone though, its very very common. Its pretty safe to say that Hitmarkers on a cross map noscope is much less common. So I still fail to see how lag preventing a kill is much worse... Unless of course you are 1 kill away from a nuke or something.

Mass Effect 2 had the ultimate FML moment for me. I'm sat there charging the Cain (basically a handheld WMD) for some serious impact on the geth colossus (giant walking tank) on the planet where you recruit Tali, and just as I fire Garrus runs in front of me and gets us both vapourized.

Or doing that while some sniper empties a pistol without hitting you until the last round hits you in the gut, dying, watching the same exact thing on the killcam and wondering how he one-shotted you with a 9mm.

Edit: Or missing a point-blank scoped in shot with your breath held and scope steady because Treyarch's anti-quick-scoping garbage is still in effect 2 seconds after you shoulder your rifle.

When you watch it happen ten times in a row and get a horrible death streak because of a particularly long spike then it becomes an FML moment.

That brings back memories of Halo:CE multiplayer on PC... Playing rocket fight rounds and someone on your team walks right infront of you when you shoot the rocket launcher :|

I usually quit and join another game if it gets past 3 kills like that.

During the AQ gate opening event in WoW, my raid party is downing one of those giant bugs (which took over thirty minutes to get to) when all of a sudden the game glitches and I find myself falling through the world. I was the main tank healer so as I'm falling well out of spell range, the tank goes down and instantly the bug turns around and destroys everyone else. Took about five minutes before finally my character died, still falling, so I could use the damn spirit healer to rez debuffed. By that point the raid had decided to move onto easier prey like the titans. Damn. WoW.

I had stubbornness issues when it came to MW2.

In Black Ops, I think it's worse. When this happens and I quit about 75% of the time I was the server...

I think this moment should be immortalized as one of the most horrifying types of moments you describe.

That or the moment you realize the first block you've been given in a Tetris game is the z-block.

Having spent AGES on a level on star wars bounty hunter, cramping up and in the process of relieving that cramp pushing the reset button on the ps2 with my toe

Not bad... I've seen this on MW2 with the Barrett, he was insane.
I do that, only I macroed one of my mouse buttons to fire an entire clip in one second, so it isn't really possible for me to miss.

Playing Veteran on virtually any level of the last 3 CoD games. It's like they don't want you to win. Well, Treyarch & Infinity Ward, I wouldn't try playing veteran if there wasn't so much Gamerscore up for grabs!

Yesterday playing Demon's Souls.
I had finally made it down to the boss of 2-2 after about 2 hours of the cave systems. I was fully prepared, i summoned a Blue Phantom to help out and we were kicking Flamelurker's ass. He had a sliver of health left... Then my controller died and i was beaten to death.

Just finished mining a HUGE area in Minecraft, found enough diamonds to make 1-2 diamond tools of every type.

Computer has a crash, save files dissapears for some reason. I've had autosaves turn to mush, dying without remembering to save, but this is the first losing all saves after a crash.

Edit*
ALSO: Pretty much every game of TF2 where everyone does mediocre job of killing the entire opposing team, decides to push the cart at the last second, gets the cart 99% across the map, then dies. WHY NOT PUSH THE CART LIKE THAT FIRST?!

Just happened. I was going up the air vent (sword base) when I immediately do armor lock. Good thing too. There was three enemies up there waiting for me. They surround me and right as my armor lock breaks they all sticky me.

the black ops spawn system.... really

once i was spawned right in the middle of the whole enemy team. feels almost embarrassing , like "opps i've come to this party underdressed" and then i got blasted by the combined firepower of 5 people. only to be spawned back later into a friendly grenade blast which killed me again. yeah i was playing HC on nuketown.

or the other time some douche bag decided to TK me when i almost captured the flag so he could grab the flag himself to earn a flag capture medal. >_<
