Gaming idiocy?

Left 4 Dead 2. I always get stuck with some idiot that has a "foolproof plan" that fails several times and they still insist on using it. It gets really annoying when they start player killing when you point this out.

Interacting with Filipinos in any MMO ever.

They always start by going to the most densely populated settlement, then loudly announcing that they are new and immediately start begging for items/money from established players.

They routinely break every server rule, and then immediately cry foul when the banhammer is dropped on them HARD. And then they accuse the mods of being racist against Filipinos. And when any sane person tries to point out that they're not helping their case by being idiots, they immediately start an "OMG UR SO RACIST BEIN A FILIPINO IS AWESUM JEJEJEJE" flamewar.

The worst part is, every single Filipino within earshot will side with them.

It makes me ashamed, ASHAMED, of having been born in this craphole of a country. I never cop to being from here if I can, because it puts me in the same league as THOSE people.

Heh, that's rather fitting given the name, don't you think?

Anyway, I tend not to play games online anymore - unless they're online-only and I REALLY want to play them - because of people who don't know what they're doing or just being your generic, run-of-the-mill idiots who don't care to improve their playstyle. I think the case with these types is that they're not really 'gamers', and just play because they have a friend who got them into it.

Also, this should come as no surprise to anyone; but World of Warcraft is full of dimwits.

I play dota, wherein a single bad player can ruin an otherwise strong team, so there's a lot of rage in that.

While I mainly play MMOs, I assume that this problem is prevalent in other formats as well?
Who here has played with people who are just plain terrible at a game? I mean terrible with no interest of learning or improving or even listening to others. There are far too many cases that I have seen in where 1 or 2 people hold a larger group back because they are unwilling to listen.

What about everyone else?

Yeah, least my weapon of choice in L4D2 (Military Sniper) is really handy for saving all those rambo morons that split from the group and find themselves hunter/smoker food.

I hate most people so I hardly ever play multiplayer games. Occasionally I'll pick up a game of MW2 online but I never bother with a headset and mute everyone.

Yeah, least my weapon of choice in L4D2 (Military Sniper) is really handy for saving all those rambo morons that split from the group and find themselves hunter/smoker food.

Running off usually isn't the problem. They always tell everyone to back themselves into a corner and melee every zombie that gets near them. Its not like valve added some types of special infected designed specifically so players wouldn't do that /sarcasm.

Without fail, people will jump STRAIGHT to Multiplayer without a clue on how to play the game, what weapons there are, nothing. How do you jump? how do you reload? What's that flashing grenade thingy? Is it a blue spider? Get it off!

You poor ignorant little shit, there's a reason why games have tutorials in the beginning of the single player campaign!
