Bad Company 2's campaign was so average I would have much rather it didn't exist or suck so bad that it's laughable. I would have gotten alot more fun out of it that way.

The Saboteur was pretty meh aswell, as was Red Dead Redemption.

Oh boy, where do I start.

Final Fantasy XII
Guitar Hero: World Tour
Modern Warfare 2
The Tomb Raider Series
Jak 2
The Sims
Little Big Planet
Every Mario Game since Super Mario World 2
Halo 2
StarCraft 2
Red Dead Redemption
GTA IV
Sega Rally
That's pretty much my list.
Exept for StarCraft 2, which I think is just awesome(in the actual meaning of the word).
I would also add Half-Life 2, Civilization 4(without the great add-ons) and FF VII(Oh, the blasphemy)...

Heh... I bought that game on Steam, and you're right. Utterly forgettable.

There is one game that I keep trying to think of. It was a PC game I bought back somewhere around 1999 - 2000. A fantasy RPG that was based on a book series... Never got very far, not because the game was all that bad, but just because it never showed me anything interesting at all...

Advent Rising was probably the absolute pinnacle of mediocrity. A failed attempt at competing with halo by way of cloning halo in form and function, planned as a trilogy but the abysmal performance of the "first" game meant it was doomed to be the "only" game. Its like bungie might've actually figured something out, make a ridiculously successful but completely boilerplate game, and no one can compete with you because any attempt to clone or duplicate it will be at least as mediocre.

Also, I remember Chome. I didn't pay for it, but I played it. It was actually interesting how boring it was.

Transformers: War for Cybertron. It's not a bad game, it's actually fairly good. It's just that I don't remember it, at all, because it's so... meh. It has transforming, but somehow still fades into mediocrity.

I actually dislike mediocre games (or films, or books) more than bad ones - at least with a bad game you'll remember it afterwards. A meh-tastic experience, however, is a total waste of time, as you'll have utterly forgotten about it within a month at the outside.

Gonna have to say Skate 3 here.
It's not a bad game game, it's really fun when you play it but it just doesn't match Skate or Skate 2 in my eyes. It really does nothing that the games before it did.

I'm gonna say it guys... Half life series - I can't think of anything truly defining about the series

Also Modern warfare 2 for the same reason

A lot of my games seem fall into the average category. I don't think I've played any especially bad games, or it could just be that I tend to look upon things more favourably than most people. I'm more likely to spot a good thing than a bad thing. I would put anything in the Dynasty Warriors series that wasn't an Empires game into the mediocre category.
I think Ninety Nine Nights and Armoured Core 4 belong in there too.

Borderlands. Only thing that stands out in any way is the somewhat original art style, which is then subsequently used for pretty much nothing. It is a fairly generic shooter with slight RPG elements and extremely reptitive gameplay, as well as a very limited weapon variety. And no, 10000000 versions of 4-5 guns doesn't count as variety.

Both Fable games. Not actually bad games in anyway, if you ignore they hype they both failed to meet. But not original or interesting enough to really be considered good.
C&C 3 also filled me with nothing but "Meh" much to my annoyance

Sadly enough, I found the Battlefield series to be this, up to and including Bad Company 2.

Halo 3.

Friends greatly advised I get it (They're console gamers.) so, I decided, well, I may as well.

It was just so... Bleh.

The vast majority games fall into the meh-tastic.

examples: Halo series, CoD, battlefield, gears2.
High production values, but nothing we haven't seen all the time.

Ok I can somewhat accept the bashing of Call of Duty 2, MW2 & Halo 2 since they are a bit abysmal.

The most "meh" game I've played is probably NFS: Carbon but I don't know if that really counts.

Fallout 2, Portal and Gears of War while not medicore I didn't enjoy them as much as I thought I should and would.

I tried a few times to get into Half-life 2, but the pacing is just so abysmal. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Episode 3 is taking so long is that Valve doesn't think it'll sell to as wide an audience as some of it's more recent, more interesting efforts.

Tough to answer, because I don't typically continue playing games I'm not thrilled about.

I've tried a number of times to get into Halo 3 and GTA4, and both games bored me into stopping. Especially GTA4.

I like how every complaint about half-life boils down to "not enough action."

Half-life was all about tension, not action packed run and gun lol explosions. Makes me wonder what difficulty these people played on. Easy? With god-mode enabled?

Any Halo, thanks to the boring music, boring guns, and boring levels. It wasn't a bad game. It did everything it was supposed to do. But it did so in the most boring way possible. It was almost relaxing, except that the colours were migraine-inducers.

Starcraft II is the same after playing much better RTS's...

Dragon Age: Origins felt a bit outdated thanks to being so linear.

(Wields flame shield)

Everything I've ever played from Valve, except Team Fortress Two, even then that got old once my friends stopped playing it.

Call of Duty's, GTA, Bioshock, The halo's got old pretty quick...so did Rock Band. The list goes on.

Guitar Hero 5.
Even the cover was half assed.
If it wasn't for Jimmy Eat World and the Amon Amarth DLC, I wouldn't have bothered.

I much prefered the first.
