Like Yahtzee and QTE. We all have something that we hate. One things that keeps annoying us despite what game we play.

I say Unskippable Cutscenes. I hate them. It does not matter how short it is, if I press start I should not need to see that cinematic piece of crap.

So, what is your Gaming Nemesis?

Grind or collecting stuff to advance in game.

I hate it that I must collect 100 chips at some point in Megaman Battle Network just because... so. No idea, why. A random idea, perhaps? Just stupid, proves nothing and just makes you waste time.

Also, Prince of Persia. Artificial lengthening the game...

Unfinished games with bugs

-->looking at you Vampyre The Masquerade: Redemption (i think thats what its called)

Games which demand the use of the arrow keys instead of WASD
Games which give a "computers running last therefore it gets an advantage" games such as Need for Speed Underground.
Spys in TF2 - I just hate them

Repitition.
It brings a lack of immersion and fun, and is the exact reason I haven't completed No More Heroes yet.

Unskippable Cutscenes: This is a bigger problem in games like Assassin's Creed where the story is garbage anyways

Quick-Time Events: In most of these instances you need to either be a ADHD riddled 13 year old, on speed, or are able to see the future to complete them.

Endings that set up for a sequel: So I just did all that work for an unsatisfying ending that you expect me to buy your next game? No, fuck you and fuck your sequel.

Unfinished games: where they are clearly going to release the REAL ending as paid for DLC

Turn-based combat. "Oh hang on, it's your turn. Would you like to heal yourself or try to kill me?"

GRRRAWWRRR.

In game: Unbalanced difficulty, and that include retarded excuses for "hard" mode. I don't like a game that decides to be hard for the sake of being hard, or starts off fine and then the learning curve take a 90 degree. I HATE hard modes that are only hard because they make the computer a cheap prick. Giving enemies better accuracy and making them smarter is good hard. BAD hard is giving them all that AND tripling their health and damage. NO...STOP that is NOT what Hard should be, it should not be some arbitrary act of making your character have the strength of a 5 year old and your enemies damage sponges.

Out of game: manual updates. I fucking hate them, especially in this day and age when we can have automatic updates that your notified of the second you turn on the bloody game. NO game should ever tell you there is an update available and then make you go out and hunt for it. Just auto install you you stupid piece of software, thats your job!!

It's gotta be timers. I HATE time limits. I'm a Zelda fan, but it's for that reason that I won't play Majora's Mask.

Health regen in FPSs. Just let me look for some armour as I progress though the level, don't make me Wolverine from X-Men.

Snipers in any game. I hate them. I hate the cowards that play as them. They have an unfair advantage in every game. One hit deaths are bullshit in any game because you don't have full peripheral vision or auditory abilities to see or hear them approaching.

I also hate the "Specialist" class in Bad Company. Why the fuck does it always seem like their bullets do more damage than yours?!? I've been 2 feet from a guy and had them zeroed with an M-16, and the bastard will turn around while I'm shooting and kill me with their Uzi.

Bullshit.

AI that doesn't get smarter, just has more health and does more damage.
Unskippable cutscenes as well.

Any race game where the AI gets a sudden burst of speed at the very end, or gets all that it needs to beat you, or make you slip off the track for no reason...
I'm looking at you, Mario Kart 64 D:<

Bad check-points, I hate games with sparsely placed check-points, if you want to make a game difficult by all means do, but don't punish failure by forcing the player to retread half an hour's worth of gameplay.

Retarded A.I. For example, Dom from Gears of War 2. I don't like when even though a game has co-op mode, it kind of forces you to play it on co-op when you hit the harder difficulties. Playing Gears of War 2 on insane is too freakin' annoying to do with the A.I. It's like I need to play with another person to beat it.

I have to go with escort missions in which the person or thing being escorted cant (or wont) do anything to defend themselves or help you fight in any way.

OOOOOOhhhhh..... I'm gonna have to agree with that one. Also the old "protect this area for XX minutes thing..."
