I can't recall when I first heard it but I really don't get it, its not even catchy, I have no idea how it is so popular, is it the novelty of this Korean guy with sunglasses on dancing around or what? Even for its genre I don't think its particularly good. I mean come on it doesn't even have any musical talent behind it, just a few lyrics against a simple beat. Maybe if I was considerably drunk I wouldn't mind listening to it?

Is LMFAO doing satire as well? Or is their music just as braindead as it seems?

1. About a month or so back in Physics class when my physics teacher [Who is absolutely awesome and wanted to run a Physics or Star Gate/Wars/Trek/Doctor Who class but the school wouldn't let her ] showed it to the class 'cause she thought it was hilarious.

No, but at a friends 18th a few weeks back I was playing Billiards and I looked up to see one of my friends doing the entire dance perfectly, and the back door to the host's veranda was open with my two best friends at the party there recreating the elevator scene, with one pretending to rap whilst lying down, and the other pelvic thrusting standing over him. I missed that shot for obvious reasons.

I saw it a little while ago, don't remember exactly when

The music itself wasn't a big hit with me (I've heard worse, I've heard better, it's tolerable to me), but the music video made me power laugh. Seriously, I watched it several times in a row just because I just found it so goddamn funny. Sometime along the way in my re-watching the videos the song itself grew on me.

I've tried the dance in the privacy of my own home. It was fun.

I love it! Saw it the other day for the first time, but had heard of it quite a while before! (When the Brovengers gathered a load of GIFs for it!)

I think the song is ace... proper catchy, and awesome for the gym! Also, I love what the song is about... being an average guy getting the awesome girl!

Also made me realise that J/K-pop was one of the very few genres not covered on my iPod... so rectified it!

I hadn't actually heard it until a "Gandalf Style" macro appeared on my Facebook feed. My first exposure was a "Gundam Style" vid on YouTube and then I actually looked it up.

1) A friend showed it to me.

2) HEEEEYYYYYY SEX LAAAADY! ...I guess you could say it grew on me. It started as merely something funny, then it got played very loud with the windows down driving through Brighton at night, and it kinda stuck.
