Bioware already took the nudity out of Mass Effect over that whole Fox News crap.(I know they said that wasn't the case but it was.)I wonder if they will tone down the relationships now that this is being harped on by fans on both sides.

I think Anders was the only agressive one (Fenris was fine to leave me be), and that was more due to his personallity in this game, rather than his homosexuality. This only proves that Bioware fans will never be happy, no matter what you give them.

I am a Bioware fan and I am constantly pleased with their actions, and my only gripes are with their story, and honestly those are more suggestions than complaints. Yeah, some of us can be nitpicky bastards, but not all of us. Just like some people will freak out with the inclusion of gay romances and/or lack of fleshed out gay romances while other people will just jump Merrill's bones and call it a day.

we dont know what the fuck we're talking about bioware, just go back to making games the way you want to. complaints are fine, but when the fans scream that they want to romance anything that moves no matter how nonsensical it is, just dont do it bioware, theyll just petition you to be fired for not adhering to their insanely specific view of how it should all play out.

I highly doubt this guy played a straight Hawke because that happens regardless of sexuality. Or at least it did when I played a straight Female Hawke and refused the advance Anders made. 10 rivalry points right off the bat.

How did he become gay between games!? He was fiercely heterosexual in Awakenings, and don't tell me his change is due to his companion as he had no desires at all.

I think it's because they could have wanted to give everyone the chance to have the type of romance (straight, gay or bi) that they wanted. Sort of an equal opportunity thing. But that's just a guess.

i havent played dragon age 2 but from my understanding it makes sense.

you have gay party members. that ''like'' you and if you reject their advances they hate you alittle more. makes sense to me. if someone asked you out on a date and you said no is it that unreasonable that they hate you a little?

Anders is a pushy guy, he's nearly schizophrenic and a bit under pressure with that whole vengeance thing going on. In fact I found that Anders wouldn't sleep with me, he was to afraid to hurt me because he was an apostate and I wasn't going to push through just to get to him when he was being so evasive.

I didn't notice any stereo type relating to homosexuality at all in the game. Merrill was completely Merrill regardless of your relation with her.

Edit: Sometimes I think I'm the only one that played this game to Roleplay rather than farm red and blue points.

I lol'd @ the fact that the romance is the same whether you're Fem or Male Hawk (at least it was with Isabella and Merril), I presume the same is true for Anders and Fenris.

Well yeah, Anders was really annoying. I remember a couple of times where he would talk to you, and then you'd have 2 heart responses and a big "x". Which was pretty stupid.

Then again all Bioware romances are pretty stupid and silly. After a couple conversations your companions believe you to be their true love. Come on Bioware, you can do better than that. Like with Baldur's Gate. Remember those romances? How they were deep, and intricate, and you had to work for them? How it wasn't just 3 conversations, then sex.

Just go back to that please. Much more interesting.

While I agree with you completely, I do see a potential cop-out for this point.

Technically, between certain story points, years pass. I mean, 3 years passed from the point my male Hawke met Merrill and the point when the romance developed. So, that actually is a normal amount of time to get to know someone, develop a close relationship ect.
