OT: I'm pretty excited, but that will wear off in a few weeks, i will however get Gears 3, i'm sure it will be as vast an improvment on Gears 2, as 2 was on 1.

Well, if the co-op and Horde mode remain unchanged, I'll be fine with it. I enjoyed Gears 2's campaign and Horde, although the multiplayer was a steaming pile of shit as far as I was concerned.

I disliked Gears 2, mainly because of the colossal unbalance and lag. But the Campaign mode was good fun and a rather good story so if nothing else is coming out that month I'll get it for sure.

I think he might be trying to pull off the Ethan Thomas from Condemned 2 look. Except Dom's beard is a bit more fuzzy.

OT : I played and enjoyed the first two, but I'm not getting ecstatic about this one just from watching the trailer.

The Female Gear is Anya from what I've heard, the armour design may have changed for awesomeness and the fact that I think over a year has passed since Gears 2 in the game's universe, and finally, Dom's life didn't go well in Gears 2. I think he has an excuse to not shave and generally look like an armored beast who lives in a box.

Dom most likely let himself go after having to kill his own wife in the second game. They most likely changed Marcus' armor to keep the game fresh, I do like it.

The game already graphically looks better. I hope the game will be good, but I have a feeling the multiplayer will blow.

I'll wait and see.

The trailer looks pretty neat, but I can't say that I can't wait for the game's release. I'll still buy it, don't get me wrong, but I'm not looking forward to it like I am other games.

To answer from my own assumptions.

1. That is Anya. (This is confirmed)
2. Marcus's armor most likely deteriorated due to time and lack of facilities. The last human city and bastion of industry was destroyed at the end of Gears 2. Therefore, as Marcus's armor becomes damaged he must use other pieces to repair. Just an assumption on my part btw.
3. I take it as awhile in the future, simply due to the gray in Dom's hair and beard, however, it could be ash as well.

I don't think I'm going to be buying this game. I'm still interested in the Gears story, and I'll definitely rent it to play through the campaign, but after how badly Epic messed up the multiplayer in Gears 2 (definitely the most I've ever been disappointed by a game's multiplayer), it's tainted the entire series for me, to the point where I don't even want to own the next one.

Still the story does seem interesting, and I'm interested in what new gamemodes will be introduced, but I'm only going to rent the game, or at best buy it used for like $20 at some point.

What exactly was wrong with Gears 2 multi? I've never really been a fan of the multi but I've never understood what was unbalanced. Didn't look all that different to me. (Actual gameplay, not lag)

The trailer was pretty good; I didn't expect any major reveals. Big fan of the Gears franchise though.

There is definately something going on between Anya and Marcus; you all saw that look at the end of Gears 2. Maybe Delta get into trouble and Anya throws down to help Marcus out. Notice the knife bayonet old school Lancer she throws to Dom? Love the grizzly beard btw.

People need to chill a little. This is the first official trailer. I'm sure the story and gameplay mechanics are going to be fleshed out in future trailers. They have a year after all.
