Gears of War Movie: A Harder "Lord of the Rings"

If they plan it out so it resembles something like the game then it should be good, not great but good.

Well at least this guy has done some good movies already, maybe this movie could break the trend of shitty movies based on games.

Wait wait...WHAT good movies? 'Wanted' is the only one listed that was tolerable (For a mindless action flic).

Underworld? Crap.
Anything with 'fast' and 'furious' in the title? Super crap.
And 'Live Free or Die Hard'? The worst of the Die Hard movies?

This is going to suck.

agreed, the Gears movie if it is done right would be good. the LotR with balls would work, because thats what the game is like, except even better. Scifi? there is no scifi in the entire series other then the fucking Ion Cannon.
the fast and the furious and the second movie are good, but the others are lame, if not total shit.

You want a good movie, have Vin Desil write it. Pitch black was the fucking shit

Len Wiseman, the creator of the gothic-action franchise "Fast & Furious [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0320691/]" (otherwise known as "4 Fast 4 Furious").

So basically, two guys whose work amounts to one decent vampire flick and a TON of VERY crappy movies are going to try to make a three part epic to rival one of the best three-part epics, despite the fact that LotR was based on one of the greatest fantasy books of all times and Gears of War are pair of fairly plotless shooters?

Riiiiight... might as well just let Michael Bay do it, at least then the general public would know it would suck by default.

Dude, they're hardly gonna have this thing as live action. Because short of shaving a gorilla, you aren't gonna find an actor who looks like this.

And here's hoping they can straighten out the whole roidhead look, and make him look somewhat natural.

Umm... have you seen the guy who does the voice of cole? He looks almost EXACTLY like that

Ugh. I have a sinking feeling about this. Like, Titanic sinking, and all the lifeboats are aflame. And the band is horrible.
Anyone who doesn't know that Gears is about chainsawing apart (or shooting, or blowing up, or etc.) shouldn't be making a movie "based" off of it.
