This is pretty much why I hate Kinect and Move, now we have at least 2 years of horrible games while Microsoft and Sony try to make the "hard core" market interested in their annoying casual product. Why? Because even though Kinect isn't "for" us, they sunk so much goddamn money into it they'll be damned if they don't force the "hard core" audience to accept it.8-Bit Grin said:"On the other hand, a really impressive looking hardcore game, from a SERIES WITH A LOT OF TRACTION amongst core gamers, that you can ONLY PLAY WITH MOTION CONTROLS, might be just the killer app needed to get the core audience interested in Kinect."
I do understand and am interested in the technological possibilities of Motion Control, I just don't see how what always ends up being the Random Flailing(tm)control method will help the games I enjoy. The only games I liked in more than a silly mini-game 5 second glee way on the Wii were games that scaled BACK the motion control like No More Heroes or Super Paper Mario. Basically unless they come up with something TRULY amazing, which I doubt, we're looking a $200 Add On that doesn't really enhance a game what would have been fine without it.VulakAerr said:I find it incredible that so many people on what is supposedly a geek-aligned forum neither understand or appreciate the technology and possibilities of this device. We're all gamers or geeks to some extent. Why aren't people excited when something ground-breaking comes to light?
