Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people being great anime fans at all. It's just the word otaku is tossed around so liberally in the west when in Japan it's a very very VERY derogatory term. If I don't want to see you address yourself as an otaku is for your own good, unless you want to have Japanese people eyeing you disgusted claiming you are one.

I've been awake for many hours, so my descriptions are doubtless somewhat lacking. The only advice I can offer is to go watch it for yourself. It's done by KyoAni, who've also done Haruhi, Lucky Star, Full Metal Panic and Clannad, if you needed any assurances that the quality of art is good. It is, very much so.
