Wow, not even another title/plotline but straight to MW3?
These are the actual remakes worth complaining about and calling out on being lazy! All of the Modern Warfare games don't need remakes! I don't know how certain anti-remake fans will biatch about Dead Space Remake or RE4R, but either won't say anything about COD, or go "it's the business/Activision, whatta ya gonna do?!". Fuck off you, hypocritical shits!

The boring one
Sucks if you look younger than your actual age.
Fun anecdote. I once met an idiot who was dismissing asylum claims based on "they're visibly lying about their age". I asked her my age, and then showed her my passport. She was off by 20 years or so.

She didn't keep that job for long, but I wonder how many lives her stupidity had already dramatically affected.

I mean, it is Activision though. I've been ignoring them in a corner and essentially not buying anything they've made for like the last 15 year (not even necessarily on a moral standpoint initially, its just all so uninspired) other then my brief foray into Destiny.

I don't know which games are which in CoD, or which are the good ones storywise (there are apparently 2-4/20 whatever) to merit remakes. And the one time someone tried to explain the story in the ones that aren't standalone made my head hurt.

That's not the issue. My issue is with people who are crying about all these remakes all sudden clam up when Call of Duty's remaking games that don't need it. With most either giving a passing shrug or praising it, yet will cry about any other remake. Modern Warfare 2 and 3 especially don't need remakes. There's remastered versions of Modern Warfare 1 and Modern Warfare 2. The problem with these remakes is that they have even worse online multiplayer than their original counterparts, with the only thing being fancy graphics. And even the graphics ain't all that special and come off as generic looking. Modern Warfare 3 still looks good and great today. Not to mention, the campaigns are ass. It depends on certain people, but last I checked not too many people were defending the campaign for MW2 remake. Then again, MW1 Remake got called out for trying to be "apolitical" or used shallow politics with its campaign.

So, Limbus Company is a mature 17+ horror themed gatcha game made by Project Moon that's been gaining a lot of steam lately, mainly due to great visuals, fantastic story, and being made by a company that doesn't make gatchas which means it was a good *game*

Unfortunately, it's been rocked with controversy lately:
1) an error in an in-game description led to a lot of people upgrading units that didn't work like they thought they would, for which P Moon issued an apology and a veritable *bounty* of compensation

2) they realized they borked their combat math in a way that would severely unbalance gameplay if left to stand, but would end up with characters getting inadvertently nerfed if fixed. Normally, gatchas tend to just roll with that over time, but P Moon took the ultimately better route of issuing an apology, fixing the math, and issuing generous compensation

3) Their new summer event had a dude with an open shirt but, notably did not include a gal in a bikini, instead having a skintight wetsuit. Naturally, this was completely unacceptable and a group of Korean incels stormed the Project Moon offices to demand the immediate firing of the feminist responsible. Which Project Moon did, firing the main CG artist who *did not* make the offending art in question, because she retweeted some feminist tweets in response to hidden camera porn targeting innocent women from half a decade ago that were deleted half a decade ago and only unearthed from internet archives.

More details plus the offending artwork

I'm gonna talk about some Ubisoft news. Calm down, I know we all hate them, I still find this news interesting.

They canceled Immortals Fenyx Rising 2

I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand, I really didn't like the first one at all and it kind of represents a lot of what I hate about games? Like it's all the kind of big open map with icons Ubisoft thing that critics and gamrs make fun of- which I'll even defend in some games!- but also with superficial cribbing of Breath of the Wild, with a corny art style and dialogue.
On the other hand, it's part of a larger play "planning to strengthen its focus on its biggest IPs and live services" which.. ugh. I want new things. And yeah that means more Assassins Creeds- I think they're making 50 or something- and I like those... so I just hope this isn't indicative of other big studios.

The article talks about the low sales of Immortals so it's just a logical business decision and, again, I don't care about Immortals per se but it's a bit sad if the response to poor sales "let's do less different stuff."

Isn't the problem there that they even greenlight it in the first place? Did they not check the sale when they started working on the sequel, only to find out just now?

I'm just guessing here but I companies do have to do projected sales, so they maybe thought it was gonna sell more than it did. Also, strategies change and the last couple of years have been rather stormy for the company, so maybe what was thought of as a good environment for a sequel is no longer thought of as such (whether that perception is accurate or not).

I'm not surprised in the slightest. While sad, better now then dangling for over a decade with "yes, no, maybe so, and I don't know!". Isn't that right, Ubisoft?

Okay then.

Might as well not even bother releasing it there and move on.
