"That well of infinite Fortnite money is starting to dry up. Do we maybe stop throwing cash at Epic exclusives and buckle down on fixing the store?"
"Nah. Hike prices and fire some assholes."
It's the end of Q3. All the publicly traded publishers are looking to cut costs so they can end the fiscal year on a high note and give their real audience a nice big payout. Word through the grapevine is Ubisoft and Actiblizzard laid off a bunch of people too. Probably not the only ones. These kind of layoffs are unfortunately not unusual. It's probably worse than normal because tech hired a fuckton of extra people in 2020/21, assuming, as they usually do, that those good times would last forever, coupled with the general economic troubles.

This is not going to help you whatsoever. Chris has been telling the same story across three universes for twenty years. He is a story teller not a game designer and the problem Blizzard has is shitty game design. So this will do nothing.
That’s an interesting take considering the length of the threads over at WoW’s actual forums complaining that Dragonflight’s storyline’s have insufficient WAR for Warcraft among other points.

Shit like this is why I am not opposed to unions or people going on strike.

Ya know the hype is real for blockchain.

Ok this really looks like everything am philosophically opposed to, sans Peter Thiel funding.

Legacy, the upcoming blockchain business sim from Fable creator Peter Molyneux, is set to release next month, on 26th October.

According to the game's publisher Gala Games, which specialises in this blockchain/Web3 business, Legacy's upcoming launch is "more than just a game release". In its words, this is "the beginning of an extraordinary journey where creativity, strategy, and business innovation meet".

As someone who remains more than a touch sceptical about blockchain, I feel this remains to be seen.

When Legacy was announced back in 2021, Molyneux described the game as "a creative entrepreneur's dream come true". Players will be able to own a "Land NFT" and this will then mean you will be able to "start your own in-game blockchain business association".

There will also be access to Legacy Keys that can be lent to others to start an in-game business and become partners. Profits of the game's Cryptocurrency LegacyCoin will then be shared.

Back in December 2021, it was said that Legacy had already raked in around $53m (£40m).

With the option to purchase imaginary land in the game, Legacy's most expensive land plot, "London", went for $900k. Of course, that was almost two years ago, when Blockchain was a bit of a buzz word in the industry and many others were also jumping aboard the somewhat controversial trend train.

Legacy builders, we have a release date... October 26th! 🎉

Legacy, which is set to release across PC and Mac, has some heavy video game release date competition. October will also see the launch of several highly-anticipated titles, including Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Lords of the Fallen, to name a few.

On the brighter side of distractions from creeping entropy, new game release from Limbo and Inside roots appears to be doing critically well;

No console reviews though, hmm. 🧐 Also metacritic's new site format is crap. But don't let that overshadow this brief moment of positivity!

Hopefully this is due to them realizing that Jimbo was a bimbo and this new guy will clean up the mess he’s made of the goodwill Sony had previously mustered.
He is a mobile game advocate, so it's more of the same coming from Sony, weebs and capital G Gamers get fucked harder as always

Don't have the time or inclination to get into a lengthy discussion, but basically, Metzen is to Blizzard what Lucas is to Star Wars. When he's around, everyone cries foul, insists he's past his time. When he's gone, everyone laments his absence.

As for Dragonflight lacking sufficient "war," I can't comment there, but I recall people making similar complaints about Mists of Pandaria. Now, as far as I understand, it's one of the most well-loved expansions.

Oh I know exactly who Metzen is to both WoW and its fans.

I told you. Arrogant Sony is back in full force. If they start putting their mobile stuff in their single player games, then I won't be buying the first party titles anymore. I'll happily jump over to the upgraded Switch/Switch 2. I'll start investing in Steam Deck at this point.
HAHA! Jokes on them! The only first party IP of theirs I care about hasn't been touched in years anyway! (RIP Ape Escape)

Hahahahaha take those L Capital G gamers and Capital W weebs. You deserve only the worst

Blessed be KonradLeijon!
Did a weeb gamer kill your dog or something?
