Dare I say, Battlefield 6 (or whatever the fuck they wanna call it now) actually looks and sounds like Battlefield?
Just the fact that they are dropping the specialist is already a step into the right direction. The question now s what will be the monetization model? Becacuse If they ask for AAA price + live-service season pass, it's gonna be a major turn off for many

Considering they're committing to a single player campaign (last I heard), I wouldn't be surprised if it's 70 bucks. I wish they'd just stick to the expansion setup from BF1 and back, but I highly doubt that.

Oh fuck off TheGamer and Andrew King. These games have always done well, and Capcom knows what the fuck they're actually doing. Monster Hunter has never been heavy story focused, outside of a few spin-off games. Wilds may have more story and character than the previous mainline games, but that's not the point to these titles. So much for being about "The Gamers", if you can't even understand something as simple as that.

Remedy has released a free content update for its Control Ultimate Edition.

The update - which includes access to Dr Yoshimi Tokui's Guided Imagery Experience featuring a certain Hideo Kojima - is arriving first for those on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store, with GOG to follow later) today.

It will then be available to those who have Control Ultimate Edition on either PS5 or Xbox series X/S consoles. "We have a small team working on these updates so we want to space them out to give us time to fix potential issues that might come up," the developer explained, saying it will update with dates as and when. "We appreciate your patience!"

Here's everything included in today's free content update for Control Ultimate Edition, as laid out by Remedy.

The following outfits are now available to all players. The outfits can be accessed and equipped from the Control Point in the Central Executive Sector area.
  • Astral Dive Suit (formerly a pre-order exclusive)

As for what's next for Remedy and its Control series, the world is set to expand this year with the developer's multiplayer release, FBC: Firebreak.

FBC: Firebreak is scheduled to release later this year, across PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X S and PlayStation 5. It will also be available across PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate, as well as day one onto the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue, which is available for all Extra and Premium members.

Meanwhile, the launch of Alan Wake 2's Lake House expansion last year provided what looks to be an intriguing tease for where Control 2's story is headed.

I'm gonna try out this Hideo Kojima mission and 10-bit SDR.

Remedy Entertainment, the team behind 2023's Alan Wake 2, has today announced quite a big patch for its previous game; Control. Specifically, this update has been announced for Control Ultimate Edition on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5 - and it's bringing a previously-PS4 exclusive mission to all versions of the game.

That mission — dubbed 'Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience' — was previously a part of the game's PlayStation 4 Digital Deluxe edition, and it even features voiceover by famous game dev Hideo Kojima. This mission will soon be available on all platforms as a free update!

Anyway, the patch goes live for Control Ultimate Edition on PC today, with Xbox Series X|S and PS5 to come "in the near future". Here's everything included in the new Control patch, including some PC-specific changes:

I have Control on GOG. It says the PC version was updated, but I don't think so. I don't see the extra costumes, I don't see an HDR option when I turn on my monitor's crappy HDR and I find no new tapes for this new mission in the Extrasensory Lab.

The Service Weapon Hotkey (number row) mod that I used two years ago now breaks the game, unless I move the installation out of the GOG folder. Whatever. I don't care about achievements anyway.

Edit: Oh, they're having technical issues. Steam already has it.
