I think the collapse of Ubisoft, beyond just being hilariously karmic at this stage, also presents a nice and reasonably contained representation of the potential fallout of the failure of a company who's product requires remote authorisation to work. Are they legally compelled to keep them active even if new purchases are frozen? Is there an obligation for any firm who buys an IP - like Assassin's Creed as a good example - to take on the maintenance of those servers and services? Will they just unlock everything and add it physically into the game so it just works forever but also wash their hands of further support beyond that last mega-patch? Or will they just brick the games since they know their goodwill is so far into subzero numbers that all that remains them is spite?
Just unlocking everything seems the more reasonable way to go about things. And if you're buying ubisoft, why are you even doing that outside of wanting to own the IPs like AC? It's not like they have anything else going for them. Burning it all to the ground is what is already transpiring so they don't need help from MS to achieve that.

GOW turns 20, and Sony is releaseing lots of good stuff..... EXCEPT for re-releases of the greek trilogy, or any of the classic games

I mean the devs themselves said they weren't gonna announce anything regarding re-releases, but people hyped it up anyways. Kinda on them if they are disappointed.

News about Gears of War 2! Yeah... Anyway, apparently the devs gave first-time players in multiplayer bonus damage that tapered off with successive kills to incentivize them to keep playing. I only felt the need to share this because I was unwittingly subjected to this phenomenon. I started playing GoW2's multiplayer and thought I was good at first, but noticed I quickly got worse/less lucky; now I know why.

At the very least this guy tried out the source material, so he should have SOME understanding of what kind of world it is. Still doesn't save me from sinking feeling it's gonna bomb
Seriously, what's the point of doing a live action adaption? We already got the Clash of the titans remake, and its sequel, Wrath. Immortals too.

DSP figured out how to play the game. This is no excuse.
Despite his best efforts to prove otherwise, DSP has been playing games for long enough that he has at least some basic, foundational knowledge of how to use a modern game controller. If God of War 4 was the first video game he ever played, even on the easiest difficulty, just moving, looking around, and trying to remember what combination of buttons every single thing you can do (and there's a lot of them) is set to could definitely have been impossible for him to wrap his head around.

Source: I have attempted on several occasions to introduce modern video games to my parents, and had little success for that exact reason.
