I just... like how do they do this? It was already obvious enough for Concord, but here they have a exact example of what will happen to them from less than a year back, and somehow they do the exact same mistake? Is there seriously not a single person in the entire company that has heard of Concord? Or is there just a couple of out of touch exact at the top and everybody else know they'll lose their job 2 week after release?

Its a shame cause I really like the art style and could see myself playing a couple of round just for that, but I'm not dropping money for the privileged of being able to access a couple of dead server.
Maybe they are a bunch of masochists who thrive on embarrassment.

This remind me of something, just can't put my finger to what...

"Fall or rise. The choice is yours."

goddamn. with writing as poignant and cutting as this, how is anyone supposed ever get up at all?

honestly they should applied budget elsewhere, away from 3D bigworld blockbuster attempt at realistic graphics and more towards maybe fixed/limited camera, stylised graphics, competent voice actors and writers instead, even keeping same intent to shamelessly rip off other work, it still seems an absurdly misjudged priority of resources that history has shown repeatedly to fail every time. you can rip off anything you want as long you make it good and don't be dumb

I don't know what the problem is all of a sudden with the common camera views (orbiting the player, over the shoulder, first person). They were common even back when fixed camera games were popular, and they're common because they work. But seeing people complaining about SH2R's camera and now this comment apropos of seemingly nothing, when it's not like implementing a camera that follows the character and is controlled by the player is expensive these days, leaves me wondering just what the hell I've missed.

To be clear it's not like I disagree with the overall sentiment of this post, but the specific mention of "fixed/limited camera" is a head-scratcher to me.

should clarify I got no problem with 3D cameras and no issue with the Silent Hill 2 remake neither, am one of those weirdos who kinda prefers it tbh. I only brought it up in that context as an approach that could save a lot of resources to be spent elsewhere in ways it would make the overall product looks less cheap and rushed. also you'll never see me defending fixed camera angles, that shit's for nostalgics lol

A Xcom-style game set in SW universe! Really hoping it's more like that, and not Marvel Midnight Suns

Corny-ass name aside, it's reminiscent of the classic Rainbow Six games I used to play on my gamecube. NGL, kinda excited!

Man, this game looks good! Might be a time for a hardware upgrade. Sucks about what happened to Mick Gordon, but I think it will be a blast

Okay.... It's definitely real?
I'm hoping for a serious redo of the character leveling system, being punished for using your main weapon too much is definitely a choice. I do hope they don't dumbdown it too much thought (ie skyrim), I like to do some thinking when leveling/planning character(currently has 3 hours in BG3 and still hasn't actually started the game).

Wonder if they'll still get Patrick Steward for the king.

Alright, so I am watching Oblivion remake live, and here are my notes on the features, changes, etc.
  • The official title is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblvion Remastered
  • It's gonna be handled by a 3rd party studio called Virtuos, which has quite the track record
  • Holy shit, The visuals look fucking amazing! I'd even dare say more than Skyrim with mods.
    • It's made with UE5, and not Creation Engine. No wonder
    • They call it "Remaster", but really should be called a "Remake" since they seem to create everything from scratch
  • It will include all DLCs. Yes, even the horse armor
  • Gameplay also gets an overhaul
    • Third-person camera looks less awkward
    • Dialogs will still force the camera to zoom into NPCs, and there stilll will be the pie minigame, just less annoying
    • lockpicking mini-game
    • Combat system is the same, but with better hit boxes, and better character builds
And It's available RIGHT NOW!!!!!
