Hyrule Warriors looks fucking dumb. She wears a dress with armor plates, lmao.

Spot the guy who's never seen Sonic 3.and to this day there has never been a good video game movie
Right? This is what they chose to show first. Initial trailers for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker never would have shown Princess Zelda with the bow, since those parts were so small. That the filmmakers/studio chose to show a bow-wielding Zelda in one of the first promotional photos for an adaptation of mostly solitary adventure video games is significant.Well I mean they post pictures online to get people talking about it, so mission accomplished.
He never reads anything people say, he just attacks people based off his locked-in opinion. Which he often hypocritically changes based on which game/thing he is either glazing or hating. I blocked him for a reason.Just admit that you didn't actually read what he said.

I do read, but I call out ridiculous bullshit when I see it. Those examples still count, so you both fail either way in your examples, but are too proud to admit it.He never reads anything people say, he just attacks people based off his locked-in opinion. Waiting until they find out that drawing such a bow takes some serious upper body and arm muscles to do.I do read, but I call out ridiculous bullshit when I see it. Those examples still count, so you both fail either way in your examples, but are too proud to admit it.

OK, since you complained no one is directly addressing your point, let me do so. I'm not going to say your interpretation is invalid, but it's only that: an interpretation of a single picture. My interpretation of that same picture? Zelda has the bow and arrows, and is ready to use them on targets. Rather than "twiddling his thumbs like a stupid cow", Link is scouting for targets. Essentially, two seconds later if this were an action scene, he'd be the guy saying "Target on your six!" or whatever the Hyrulian equivalent is, she'd turn and shoot them. They're a team, period.I mean regardless of Zelda's capabilities, she isn't the person I think of when I think of a Legend of Zelda game (ironic given the name of the games). But growing up as Link adventuring through dungeons and learning new tricks and tools needed to save Hyrule is the core foundation of the games imo. And the movie promotion everything except that concept implies that it's yet another girl-boss story where Link is a little wiener fuck who can't accomplish shit without Zelda doing it for him.
Even in that photo, Zelda is regal, strong, elegant, and in charge.....Link is twiddling his thumbs like a stupid cow. So it looks like yet another story in which the men are incompetent idiots and the women are perfect badasses who are always right and have zero character flaws.
She is upright and alert, and he is sitting casually almost in an uncaring and relaxed way. He isn't scouting shit, you are projecting, he is stilling there uselessly ESPECIALLY if the intent is that an action scene happens right after this, which it might or might not, who knows. He doesn't even look armed in the photo. Where's the sword, or any weapon whatsoever on him?ather than "twiddling his thumbs like a stupid cow", Link is scouting for targets.
I'm sorry, but I don't think any of us here are qualified enough to properly unpack the insecurities that spawned these ramblings. No wonder nobody comes to this forum as a new person, you all completely ignore the point being made and just making statements based on your soapbox.
Read my post again and point out where I said Zelda NEVER did these things.

I bet she's also gay.
I appreciate that.@Brokencontroller To be fair to Brokencontroller, that "I bet she's also gay" is usually used as a joke. And to be equally fair to him, I'll say that I'm probably taking this a bit more seriously than I should, because I'm getting a bit tired of the whole "girl-boss" thing where people complain about competent women in action films and am probably projecting way too much based on that.
To be clear, I'm not saying that there aren't films like described. Hell, it's one of several reasons I dislike The Lion King remake, because it took what was already a strong female character in Nala and ramped her up to be even better because just strong wasn't enough for Disney/Favreau. My issue is that a lot of people look at a scenario like this, see it as promoting Zelda instead of Link, and assume that they are just going to make Zelda perfect and Link useless, but wouldn't bat an eye if they reversed the scenario because in an an action movie, it's just expected that the male lead be a total badass and the woman a prize to be won without even necessarily contributing to the plot. That's really the situation I find frustration in, and I just assumed I was going down the same rabbit hole without really reading what Brokencontroller was trying to say.
That all said, I still disagree with your interpretation, Brokencontroller, but I won't say you are wrong about it, and if I ever came off as personally attacking you, that was not my intention. I still apologize nonetheless, because it isn't intention that matters, it's reception, so at best I was not coming off the way I meant to, which is still on me. The only thing I really took issue with directly in your post was anything flat-out inaccurate, like the blanket statements about there being no good video game movies or how most movies nowadays are shit, which fall into opinions in general and shouldn't therefore be called "wrong", but seemed based on incomplete data at the very least.
Yeah, because your first response of "I bet she's also gay" is very mature and certainly deserves an unbiased stance from others. No wonder nobody comes to this forum as a new person, you all completely ignore the point being made and just making statements based on your soapbox.
Nooo, Sony! I want to play FF7 remake part 3 on my PC! And what about Ghost of Yotei, or the next God of War?![]()
