All I'm seeing is "Hey, we want to create a character model of your likeness without paying you!"

Only "involved in some form," as expected. No way he's gonna be the protagonist again under this leadership.

Uncharted was mid even before new management ruined it by removing the supernatural element and making it all emotional, thereby destroying the pulp. Although, bringing Elena Fisher back in the second game was a big mistake already. Should have been a new love interest in every game, like Conan (though sometimes there were only men), James Bond and Indiana Jones before it became shit. I did not need to learn about Nathan Drake's personal problems. His brother and Sully as an adult mentor was like the dog, father, childhood, christening of the hat and whip, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Meaning fucking shit, the end of a good thing: mystery. Tomb Raider made the same mistake after the original trilogy, beginning with her childhood and adult mentor in IV.

I would have introduced real magic in the later games. Cosmic horror. Rather than chemical that makes immortal or zombie again.

The ancient still working mechanical contraptions and giant undiscovered structures became more absurd as the series went on. I kind of still bought it in Uncharted 2, secret hidden in plain sight. Then Uncharted 4, huge island with so many massive structures never seen from space, air or by sea the last few centuries. Uncharted 1 had an island with old civilization too, but it was a bit more reasonable.

Too much to say about the problems with the gameplay. There's a place for simplicity, but in Uncharted it makes playing the game more annoying. I give the series collectively a 3 out of 5.

No one fucking cares; get over yourself. I say this, and I am a super casual fan of Uncharted. I didn't like 4 either, but I never let rule my life.

Man, must be so exhausting not being able to just not pay attention to stuff that doesn't interest you, and need to rant about it at any given opportunity rather than just...realize it isn't for you.

Anyways, I'm more surprised there is an Uncharted 5. Now that I know that is happening, I will continue to not pay attention to it, because I've never really been into Uncharted despite a few efforts to play it. Fine enough games from what I've tried, just not really something where the lore has ever really grabbed me.

Well, you know, some people love the sound of sniffing their own farts.

I know they won't do it, but I really hope a hypothetical Uncharted 5 will go back to being a more "game-y" game. I loved Uncharted 4, but a lot of the time it felt like you were being forced into quite a lot of walking and talking. To the point that when you finally get to a shootout, you're not exactly in the mindset to be killing tons of dudes. Works for a sentimental farewell and love letter to Nathan Drake, but not something I want for a fresh start.

I am not too excited for Uncharted 5 either, because I don't trust the writing/narrative of NG anymore.

I mean Amy Hening is long gone, and I found Uncharrted 4 was trying mimic her writing style, but didn't really land with me. Uncharted 1-3 all had great story, regardless of their gameplay

And given how terrible TLOU2 story was, Uncharted 5 will probably have Nathan And Elena die for some stupid reasons, and their daughter becoming the next great adventurer.

Oh and make Cassie a Lesbian for absolutely no reason; Now, I don't give a fuck on what is the sexuality of a character, but I want to see them actually develop a romantic relationship and chemistry. Or give context regarding how long they have known each other. But knowing Neil, he will most likely not do that, have Cassie kiss another girl out of nowhere, and call anyone who criticizes the terrible writing "bunch of haters"

I reckon your shoulders will feel significantly lighter once you get rid of that chip there 😂

Neil dumped and glued those chips on my shoulders lol.

Had he acknowledged how shitty Joel's death was, eat some of that humble pie, and maybe NOT antagonize even the contructive criticisms, I probably would've been a bit more excited.

Actually, not just him, but there are tons of people in this industry who are allergic to taking accountability and admitting shortcomings.
