Chicken Run sequel out of nowhere. Summoned by decades of collective despair.
I dunno, the movie feels a bit too... clean and well lit compared to the original?

I realize how petty that complaint is, it's a new environment and a new story and changing the illumination to reflect the story they wish to tell is entirely reasonable. It's just that I get more Despicable Me vibes than Chicken Run vibes. Might be because the trailer of the former involved Gru trying to get into a guarded high tech place with resulting slapstick.

It's also this new mix of stop-motion and CGI, as in Pirates : Misfits Darwin Something. "Welcome to the future".

This is Miyazaki's last film! He means it this time!

Jokes aside, the film looks great, and I can't wait to see this
I'm in. If this is the Legend's last film, then so be it. Thank you again Miyazaki-san and your team, to introducing me to groundbreaking films.

Didn't we already do this one Ghibli? There were fireflies involved I think... No?
Grave of the Fireflies sucked and was a glorified guilt trip movie, put against the "ungrateful" Japanese youth or delinquents from the 1980s. The Boy and The Heron looks better and is more interesting.

Miyazaki can do as many last films as he wants. I'll watch them because I enjoy his movies on the whole(some more then others obviously).

Let's hope though he gets so old he forgets how to abuse his animators.
