Well, my point was kinda, who cares about Tatiana Maslany, whoever the heck that is, just get a female body builder to star in the role full stop.
The point of the Hulk characters is a normal, mild-mannered, unexceptional people transform into a green, muscular monsters. If they used a female bodybuilder, it'd just be a story about a muscular chick who turned green after a blood transfusion, and frankly, sci-fi's version of jaundice isn't much of an interesting story...

Except I already told you that I'm pretty sure She-Hulk isn't just female Hulk. Doing so is changing the initial point, as far as I remember, and I'd actually say that making her Hulk but female is worse because rather than having her be her own character she's now like so many other female super heroes, a female offbrand version that isn't as good.

This entire thing is something that should never have been an issue if Hollywood wasn't more incestuous than a hillbilly porno. Hold auditions for a female body builder, hire one, film the scenes, make her green in post processing. Done. It's not like the MCU doesn't already have far worse physical impossibilities, even Hulk is far stronger than he should be with his bulk, that's why it's a super power, it ignores normal physics. Have her be body builder muscular but still lifting and hitting things outside what is normal, this really doesn't have to be this hard.

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying. She's literally "SHE-Hulk;" so not entirely disparate from The Hulk. She DOES go from a typical woman to a larger mutated version of herself. I say employing a bodybuilder to play the "normal" version of Jennifer Walters deflates the impact and implication of the mutation.

Taken from wikipedia:
"Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner (Hulk), is the small and somewhat shy..."
"As She-Hulk, Jennifer possessed powers similar to those of her cousin, though at a reduced level. She also possessed a less monstrous, more Amazonian appearance. Initially, the transformation to her She-Hulk form was triggered (as with Bruce Banner's) by anger. Like her cousin Bruce, his counterpart, the Leader, Doc Samson and most other persons mutated by exposure to gamma radiation over the years, her mutated form was originally explained as being molded by her subconscious desire to look like the ideal woman.
Eventually, Jennifer decides that she is going to retain her She-Hulk form permanently—preferring the freedom, confidence, and assertiveness that it gave her compared to her more timorous and fragile "normal" form.
So, I maintain the idea was congruency. They wanted a mutated counterpoint to Tatiana Maslany that still looked like her. If they started with a large and confidently muscular woman, the impact and implication of the mutation would have been diluted AND directly contrary to the source material.

This is the "Gal Gadot isn't big enough to be Wonder Woman" nonsense all over again. It was dumb then and it's dumb now. No one says this about Supergirl, why is it an issue now?

Unless they're sending the Predator equivalant of a ten year old with no weapons then I don't see how this can be anything but a comedy.
Well, Arnie pretty much had to go full primal in order to kill the thing, showing that all the guns in the world didn’t really do shit against it. If someone was able to just walk in with a heat seeking laser cannon to take it out, we wouldn’t have much of a movie either.

In fairness, it actually got shot very few times, people kept missing. Supposedly this was intended as a deep political statement or something.

Seasoned Hunter got shot once. In the thigh. Hence that whole little medical procedure scene. He also got caught in a net briefly, but broke himself out.

The one that got shot a few times (via shotgun) was the Young Hunter in Predator 2. Still couldn't keep him down!

Uhhh...

I get the point of a CG Hulk, but why CG She-Hulk if she's not gonna be any bigger than the average FBB? Just hire a FBB, you're not exactly trying to create Gollum here. Especially if it's gonna look less convincing than a dinosaur in 1993.
Wonder what Lou Ferrigno will think of this lol. I do want to see her hulk out in a court of law though for a closing statement, CGI or not.

Yeah, well, times change. John put his sword in-between Makee's Halo, and now they can have new Halos of their own. 0_0

That's gonna replace the whale in my nightmares.
Sounds killer. Hope you're not feeling blue. I'd say more, but I'm too busy thinking about Halos humpbacking.

Part-one? Why do i get the feeling this multiparter will be the last MI movies, or at least the last ones to star Tom Cruise?

Can’t wait for the crazy stunts again

Okay I'm beginning to notice something: movies are doing that thing again where they split it into two parts. This is the second movie to do this so far, that has a theatrical release. The second Spider-Verse movie is going to be split into two parts as well. Why are they bringing this bad fad back again? I know in the original case it was supposed to be more "accurate to the literature" to the books movies were adopting at the time, but it was mostly nothing more than glorified padding. I know these are licensed properties, but based on more original content script writing. There's really no need to split these in the two parts. Just make this Mission Impossible the last movie and move on.

As a trailer, kinda weirdly edited. But I am excited for the movie, the franchise is fairly consistent. Love Rebecca Ferguson especially.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first MI movie with a horse based action scene? Surprised it took them this long, guess we'll be seeing Vin Diesel drift a horse in the next FF movie.

Two ridiculously attractive Thors for the price of one. Love to see it.

Also, seeing buff Jane has me thinking even more about how horrible She-Hulk looks. I've heard reports that the VFX artists who worked on her were constantly told to make her smaller. Sounds like it ended up being a rush job and that's why she looks so awful.
