And Radio Silence has done pretty good work on bringing back franchises in the past.

"It's true... the mummy, the flesh burrowing scarabs, all of it, it's all true" - John Hannah, to the actual Gen Z lead of The Mummy legacy sequel, probably, moments before his heroic sacrifice.

I mean, Bredan Fraser comeback movies have been doing well, so I remain cautiously hopeful
Yeah, but Curse of the Dragon Emperor already sucked, and Fraser in it already seemed old and bushed. And I mean, the second movie was already quite a step down. Anything is possible, but I'm not holding out much hope. Not in the current industry of franchises and sequels.

To be fair, the third movie didn't have Rachel Weisz, which automatically put it on the backfoot because that was taking out one of the key elements that made the first two films work (the chemistry between Fraser, Weisz, and Hannah), and if Fraser seemed old and bushed...well, just look what he was going through when cameras weren't rolling, and you can see where that might have affected his focus in a way that he doesn't seem to have as much issue with now.

I'm not blaming him, I'm just saying that even in the third movie Fraser did not have that energy he had in the previous two. And that was in 2008. Part of the charm of certainly the first Mummy movie was Fraser's mixture of being a legitimate action star and a goofball. It's impossible for him to do the former anymore, but he might even be too worn down for the latter.

If this gets him a nice paycheck and future work I'll be happy for him after how Hollywood blacklisted him, but the movie itself... nah.

I hope for the best with the new Mummy movie, but it's just not the same without Stephen Summer.

I think the Michael Jackson biopic will be a huge hit. I want to see it theatrically, but am not sure if I'll navigate the tedious American city for it.

I expect it to be insincere in areas. He was messed up in the head, and the movie will barely touch on that because they have to respect his estate. How do you show him sleeping (just sleeping) with other people's children without making it look weird?

They really should follow every screening of Michael with that 4K restoration of Thriller. Someone replied to me that it would be the mother of all end-credit stingers. But I was thinking AFTER the credits. Well, that's probably what he meant, since Thriller is too long for credits.

I expect the movie to be a huge hit.

Oh shit, looks like they're not only releasing Kill Bill as a single film, but with the Crazy 88 fight in color and other extended scenes and a full blown intermission.
Speaking of Kill Bill, Lucy Liu is returning in a new movie; a heartfelt drama!

And oh man, she aged like a fine wine! Kinda like Michelle Yeoh. The movie looks great, too!
