Absolutely no one asked for this, and absolutely everyone who liked the first movie will watch it. I know I will. My expectations are set to "zero," so if it manages a chuckle or two, Happy Gilmore 2 will work fine as "more Happy Gilmore" for me.

As much as I like the first movie, I have no need to see this. I got tired of Sandler's movies all the way back in 2009. I know my older brother will probably be watching this.
Mister Larson and Chubbs will be missed.
Yeah, the the first thing I checked was the cast list to see who'd be returning. Carl Weathers passed in February of this year, which led me to believe he might actually have been able to make an appearance in this sequel, but doesn't seem to be the case. Richard Kiel is a bit further removed having passed 10 years ago, God rest his soul. But this film has enough nostalgia power that it should carry well if they hit enough of the right notes that make the first film a warm and cozy classic. Just ask Coming 2 America, vastly inferior to its predecessor, but familiar enough to make it a comfy watch.
If you have any affinity for the first film, curiosity might get the better of you sooner or later as it'll be readily available, especially if your brother likes it an recommends it.
I'll probably watching other stuff, as we don't even know what month it's coming out in 2025.
Was surprised to see this even as a teaser but guess they couldn’t help themselves given the timing/holiday. It would’ve been awesome to see the release date as 1/1/25 but it’s probably still only knee deep into post.
Why does Shooter McGavin look in better shape than Adam Sandler - what's the world come to!?
I'm sure Sandler will bring his current energy to this sequel, i.e. none.

Can only presume you meant *thinner* there, because he certainly appears older and more frail. A half minute of actual footage isn’t much to go by.
