Yes. People are excited for the two new games. And I am not talking about the fake fans, nor alt-right grifters. The franchise doesn't matter to you, but it matters to many others. I've seen the reactions from genuine fans. Be they fans of old Lara, reboot, or both. They're all positive overall. My older brother cares, and he's played the classic games, and the reboot trilogy.

I honestly could not care who is in charge at this point with SW. Disney killed my interest after the third movie in the sequel trilogy.

Someone needs to be. The biggest problem with Star Wars, IMO, has been a lack of focus. I may not necessarily agree with Filoni's vision (he relies a bit too much on nostalgia bait sometimes), but at least he has one.

I'm lucky in that I've rather enjoyed most of the scatter gun projects. Mandolorian and Andor remain the top two but I got a real kick out of Ahsoka and Book of Boba Fett was good premise but needed a few extra passes on the scripts and either some more money or a more guerrilla style of filming for some of its scenes. I still liked it but I agree it was not as strong as it should have been. Kenobi was almost perfect and if nothing else shows that Hayden Christiensen needed only some more experience AND a better actor's director to be an amazing Anakin Skywalker. Seriously, if I meet the man in real life - somehow - I'm give the old bastard a big hug and say sorry for being down on him.

I'm generally a Filoni defender but I thought Ahsoka was easily bottom of the barrel Disney+ Star Wars, and that was his first solo project. So I am quite conflicted. I really hope he has the capacity to let other creatives do their thing. I like his work on Star Wars but I hardly want ALL of Star Wars to be just that.

Looking back, Kathleen had that "blindfolded shotgun" approach; Just approve as many projects as possible, and see if they land.

SW had some great things under her like Andor, Rogue One, Bad Batch, CW season 7, and the Mandolorian. And even some video games like Jedi Outcast/Survivor. But, she also had some pretty bad flops that had potential to be great but just didn't deliver like Book of Boba Fett, the Acolyte, Kenobi, and, of course, the sequels.

Of that list, Dave was involved in Clone Wars series (even before Kathleen), bad batch, and The Mandalorian. But he was also involved in Book of Boba Fett.

I guess we will have to see what kind of direction Dave will take; At least it's not Rian Johson who was proud of that awful SW Ep. 8 The Last Jedi

I enjoyed and like BoP, so i'm giving this person a chance. The Flash was many a bad ideas, but that was mostly corporate interference.

That's life. People like and dislike certain things or not what you expect. I've been moved on from that minor revelation.

I'm sure he liked the Flash movie the same way James Cameron totally liked Terminator: Genisys. Which is to say 'Hey Mr. Director who's held in high regard, could you please endorse this movie that's tied to your own project.'

I mean that's what I assumed, but he sure goes around giving people attached to the movie second chances. He already supposedly gave the Batman movie to the Flash director, now its the Flash writer as well? And this is for BATMAN, not some C-list superhero.

Exactly. It's why I am giving the person a chance. BoP is actually pretty good. So I know blame can't solely lie on the same director for Flash, considering all of the executive interference.

I mean, it seems especially unfair to hold Hodson responsible for The Flash when she was apparently one of 45 people who worked on the script. She was just the one to get credit/blame for it.

Is the relevant part of that article, but I've seen other sources that state the comic book movie was The Flash specifically, and the timeline checks out.
