This is a situation where piracy is not only completely justified, but it is, in fact, a responsibility.

Stick it to the man, German gamers. Pirate like crazy, and encourage everyone you know to do the same.

Yeah, but we haven't let them yet. That might change this November, but we'll see.

John Funk said:
for whatever reason - the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" from the soundtrack.
And for everyone else saying "Huh?" at that particular bit of censorship, the lyrics for Sympathy for the Devil include the lines :

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
and the bodies stank
That probably has something to do with the decision to remove the song from the soundtrack - German law isn't exactly big on stuff that's reminiscent of the Nazis (especially if it doesn't say "PS: the Nazis were fuckheads")

And they've always been a bit draconian and well, German, about violent content, bless 'em.

We gamers in the US will not go down without a fight! Stay strong, my fellow gamers!

I don't really care about this specific case, but in my opinion this is just giving people more reasons to pirate stuff and bypass security measurements or use blood patches.

Geez, I can understand their disapproval of the game, but they have no right outright banning it. Seems to infringe on those inalienable rights every human should have.

I am always arguing for Steam as the future of PC gaming and I can never understand why people dislike it. However this is causing me some concern. It can be used as a tool of censorship, and I dislike that.
